Hawkins State University is one of the most respected universities in the state, attracting students from all over the country. Every year, thousands of applications flood the admissions office, all competing for a limited number of places.
Most students earn their place through years of hard work and outstanding academic results. Others arrive with family names that carry enough influence to make the process a little easier. No matter how they got there, everyone is expected to keep up once they're through the gates.For Will Byers, getting accepted had never been about luck or connections.
