Work Text:
Life drags death by the arm, leading him into the very same garden where they first met. Once at the garden, life let's go of deaths arm and sits down in the middle of all the flowers, making her look as beautiful as a goddess with her dress that sits perfectly around her, fading into the grass while her hair flows neatly down her back with a small strand hanging over her shoulder. "do you remember it, death? When we first met?" Life asks in her cheerful and sunny voice. "I remember it like yesterday." Death replys in a voice sounding slightly raspy, like its been used for many years. "And to think it was so many years ago that I was sitting in this very grass with you, time truly is precious, isnt it." Life whispers under her breath as she stares into the sunset with its overlapping oranges and purples along with the white sun in the middle of it all, bringing it together. Death walks over and sits down next to Life whilst still being careful of her dress.
"We were so young back then, so.....lively." Death comments, admiring the stars starting to appear as the sky turned to nightfall. "Have you ever wondered what would've happened if we hadn't crossed paths..?" Life asks as she looks over a death, the sun in her voice faded and replaced by something death can't quite describe. "......... I uh, try not to think about that kind of stuff. Why do you ask?" Death says, shifting his gaze from the stars to life’s eyes. “Just a thought.” Life answers ask she leans to her side, resting her head on deaths clothed shoulder. Life has never seen death without his hood before, so she calls him bald to tease him. However, she imagines that his hair would be long and black, contrasting with his pale skin.
