Troy clenched his jaw for a moment, willing the unpleasant thought away. He wasn’t about to let himself fuck up Luca’s birthday by getting all mopey and weird about his old life back in Toronto. And besides, Troy had new friends now, didn’t he? That’s what his new teammates in Ottawa had become, right? His friends? Maybe? A few of them, at least?
God, Troy sure as fuck hoped so. Because otherwise, what the hell was he doing standing here dressed like… this?
