"Kats? Baby? You with me?" Eijirou asked, his hand steadily resting over Katsuki's flushed cheek, lightly caressing the scar that ran through it with his thumb. "Love? Please, you're making me worry," he admitted.

And it wasn't the first time that Katsuki took his sweet time to come back from the high of sex, especially when he went completely submissive, trusting Eijirou to take care of his every need, but this time his clouded eyes, and ragged breath, all tied up with his unresponsiveness, were making Eijirou spiral. It had been almost ten whole minutes after all. "Baby… Please, come back to me…" he whispered, trying not to let his voice falter too much.

It was then that he noticed a flicker of life getting back in his fiancé's eyes, and he couldn't help but let a relieved sigh go past his lips. "Kats?…"

"E-Ei…" Katsuki stammered, the name dying before it could actually be considered a word.

Eijirou exhaled. "Hey, baby, lets get you back to your feet, mh?" he asked as he moved from where he still straddling Katsuki's hips, helping him sit up against the headboard, positioning a few pillows behind his head to make sure he was the most comfortable he could.

They watched each other for a beat; the time almost stopping as their eyes bore into one another's. Katsuki's eyes were still heavy-lidded, but his rugged breathing had slowed down. Good, Eijirou thought.

And then Eijirou moved, moved like he had done countless other times, starting by grabbing the glass of water that always lived on his nightstand, gently pushing it towards Katsuki's lips. Eijirou smiled fondly when he saw him eagerly drinking. "I'm glad you're getting back," he said, his eyes still fixed on his beautiful disheveled fiancé as he left the softest kiss on his drenched forehead.

Katsuki sighed as passed the glass back to him. "Sorry, Ei," he began, then. "I know you don't particularly like when this happens, but-"

Eijirou shut him up with a finger over his mouth. "Nah ah," he chided. "I'm not doing anything I don't want to do, and you know it," he continued, finally taking his righteous place between Katsuki's still trembling thighs. He began massaging them as he kept speaking, making sure Katsuki's eyes never left his own. "I know you, love. I know sometimes you need to let everything go, and when it's needed I'll simply be here to guide you and protect you, m'kay?"

Eijirou could see Katsuki's beautiful red eyes glistening with unshed tears as the pale light of the moon hit them from the window. He was absolutely breathtaking. And he was his.

Eijirou felt pride swelling in his chest.

"Now, though, we need to get you cleaned up, mh?" he asked, not actually waiting for a verbal response—the subtle quirk up of Katsuki's lips was enough for him; leaving a quick kiss on Katsuki's nose before getting up.

Eijirou tried to do everything as fast as possible, using the first hand towel he found to haphazardly take out the biggest part of the mess that still coated his sweaty body. That's when he dared take a look at himself in the mirror; where he was met with his reflection, his muscular scarred body waving back at him in all his glory. It had taken so much to actually appreciate it—appreciate himself—but he'd come a long way, and most of it was thanks to Katsuki; Katsuki who, since they'd become friends, had never accepted any self deprecating thought, always stating facts that Eijirou couldn't actually rebut against; always leaving him with one less insecurity (at least for the time being, but if there were something Katsuki liked, that was being right—even if it meant repeating himself and showing proof of it times and times again).

Eijirou had soon learned to actually listen to him.

But-

Shit.

Eijirou pulled himself out of his thoughts by slapping his face with both hands, finally crouching under the sink to get the softest towel they owned—a Pinky branded one Ashido herself had gifted them when she'd noticed Eijirou eyeing it every time they visited her merch storage.

After filling a bowl with water, making sure it was neither too hot nor too cold, he finally made his way back to the bedroom, where a slumped Katsuki was still laying against the headboard, his eyes closed as his head lolled to the side. Eijirou couldn't help but notice he had maybe went a little too overboard with the biting—rivulets of blood were still flowing from Katsuki's clavicles and shoulders—but he swallowed back the worry when he remembered all the pretty noises that had left his fiancé's lips as his teeth had sunk into his skin; the taste of him still ingrained in his mind and on his tongue.

He finally moved again, and soon, he was back on the bed, sat in front of Katsuki, who only opened his eyes enough to let him know he wasn't sleeping. Good.

Eijirou smiled placidly as his hands began cleaning Katsuki's body, leaving a few quick kisses where the blood wasn't yet dry. Katsuki shivered.

"Thank you, Ei."

Eijirou stilled for a second, the towel left floating over the water. And it wasn't that Katsuki never thanked him, on the contrary, he was pretty much the only person who could ever hear those words without getting blown up, but now… Now they'd been spoken with such raw emotion, breathed so lowly they wouldn't have been heard if there had happened to be any other sound in the room but their throbbing heartbeats. "W-why…?" he managed to ask, his hand getting back to cleaning up all the little punctures that littered Katsuki's otherwise perfect skin (because yes—even his scars were perfect!)

Katsuki scowled when their gazes met. Eijirou pursed his lips.

Weirdly enough, it was Eijirou who won the round of stares, making Katsuki's head turn for a second before he exhaled, giving him an explanation. "You. Taking care of me like this," he clipped, his stubborn persona seeping through again as he was almost completely back from the daze that had clouded his mind just a few minutes before. "I know it's stupid; I'm a fucking adult, I should be able to take care of myself even when I feel the world is crushing on me; fuck I'm a top 5 pro-hero!" he raised his voice a little at the end, carding his right hand through his messy blond hair.

Eijirou just intertwined their fingers together as his other hand kept slowly cleaning Katsuki's muscular legs. "Baby, everyone needs to let everything go every once in a while, it's normal. Especially since you're such an important amazing hero," he made sure to point out. "And anyone does it in different ways, but I'm glad it's me that can help you through it, really." Eijirou finally let go of the towel altogether, nuzzling his head against Katsuki's hard pecs before he kept taking against his skin. "I'm glad you feel so safe around me to let go of any barrier you have with the outside world, trusting me to do anything that will help you feel good," he said. "I actually don't know what I did to warrant such a high privilege," he chuckled wetly, noticing just now that he'd somehow started weeping a little. He groaned as he went to dry his face.

Yet, his hands were interjected before he could do anything, a quick kiss pressed onto his lips that had his eyes shoot open. "Shut up, idiot," Katsuki growled, but there was no bite to it. "You know the reason better than anyone else, and you've known since I asked you to be my boyfriend 12 years, 5 months and 15 days ago—no, I'm sure it was even before that," he said. "So don't get all mopey now, okay?"

Eijirou assented, his hands flying to cup Katsuki's face with the goal to kiss him stupid until the sun came out. And maybe he wasn't so sure what he did to warrant that privilege, but what he was sure about was that he was gonna revel in it—until the end of his days and more, if Katsuki permitted it.

Eijirou broke the kiss for a second, the words brushing against his fiancé's skin. "I love you, Katsuki…"

And Katsuki didn't reply, at least not verbally, but the smile that Eijirou could feel against his lips as he kept sucking and nibbling on them, and his hands tightening their hold on his hips, was more than any word could convey.

2 (15-9-3)

It was nighttime, and Katsuki couldn't sleep. Looking at his right where Eijirou should have been, and only seeing the blanket laying flat on the mattress, made his heart clench. He felt so stupid, he was a top 5 Pro Hero, dammit! And here he was moping like a damn baby because his husband had a shift that had dragged itself a little too long.

Fuck it! Katsuki cursed under his breath, getting up uncaring of the mess he left in the room. He stomped to the kitchen, where he always found the peace of mind he needed when Eijirou wasn't with him. He opened the fridge, cataloguing in his head all the ingredients, and settled on cooking some Katsudon—after all, Izuku and Ochaco were to dine with them the next day, and what evil could it do to start preparing now?

He sighed, and soon turned on the rice cooker—Which, he'll never admit it to the hag, but it had been one of his favorite house-warming gifts. And as he busied himself with other steps of the dish, while the rice slowly boiled, time passed by quickly, and he didn't even know how long it had been before he'd finished, that, like clock-work, the door creaked open as soon as he'd packed everything and put it in the fridge.

His senses got alerted right away.

Katsuki might not have been the most observant individual in the world—at least not when it wasn't work-related—but this was Eijirou we were talking about, and if there was one thing he could say he knew better than he knew himself, that was his husband.

Which is why, now, hearing the door drag loudly over the floor, when Eijirou should have thought he still was asleep, put him on edge.

He quickly cleaned his hands with the first towel he found, and soon, he padded towards the genkan, trying to calm down his racing heart. "Ei?…" he called tentatively, but the words died in his mouth at the figure in front of him.

Eijirou, all bloodied and panting, was standing before him, a hand still propped onto the doorknob, trying not fall. "H-hey, Kats…" he said, wincing when Katsuki, after recovering from the initial shock, had come to assist him inside. "Why are you still awake?…"

Eijirou was clearly lightheaded, but that didn't mean Katsuki was going to just accept everything without a single retort. "Shut up, you idiot!" he seethed. "What the fuck happened to you? And why the fuck didn't you call me?"

Eijirou just stayed silent, but his eyes bored so much tiredness for everything that had happened, that Katsuki immediately felt like deflating. "Shit, come here," he grumbled, letting Eijirou's head fall on his shoulder, caressing his nape in circular motions.

And it took a little prodding, but after a while, Katsuki was able to have them finally sat on the living room couch—the one that had been already stained with blood so many times that the red and brown patterns could have been there from the start and no one would have said anything about it. "Hey, love," Katsuki said gently, patting Eijirou's back, trying to smother the light trembling that was still running through his tired body. "Do you want to tell me what happened?"

He could feel Eijirou sighing in the crook of his neck. "I… It's nothing much, really," he began, and Katsuki couldn't help a frown from growing on his lips—fucking hell, he was still covered in blood!—but he bit back the need to reply, letting Eijirou continue. "I don't know if you've watched the news"—and, SHIT, Katsuki obviously hadn't for the first time in weeks, he thought, feeling shame clawing at his chest—"but there's been a villain that kept trying to pickpocket people since this morning," he said, taking a steadying breath, as Katsuki's hand moved to card through his hair. "And despite the crime being so petty, he well decided that the police following him was a pain in the ass, and so he just crushed against a building without warning. Both Tetsu and I just watched each other confused, but then the villain's hands began glowing and he started throwing chunks of the building at us and the civilians present.

"Kats, you don't understand, we had to cover for twenty people despite being the only ones with quirks useful in that situation." And as he kept talking, hot tears began flowing from his eyes, wetting Katsuki's collarbone.

"Hey, baby, eyes up here," he said, angling Eijirou's face so that they could finally see each other. "It's okay, you're safe now, and you did a wonderful job," he punctuated giving him a light kiss on the nose. "Why don't we take a relaxing bath so I can massage your shoulders, mh?" And Katsuki grinned as his suggestion made Eijirou's eyes glint in the pale moonlight. "C'mon, let's go," he said, supporting his husband's body despite its protests.

As soon as they entered the bathroom, Katsuki's hands were on him, helping him out of his shoulders pieces as he left trails of sweet kisses in their stead. "Ngh…" Eijirou let out a telltale sound when Katsuki's mouth began traveling south, biting his RR belt before using his teeth to also pull down his pants and boxers. "K-Kats…"

Katsuki chuckled, leaving a few other kisses on his husband's strong legs and thighs, but soon got up from his crouched position to rest their foreheads against one another. "I love you, Ei, never forget that you can always count on me," he breathed, and, well, the kiss that followed was more of an answer that any word could have ever been.

Quickly undressing himself after making sure the water pouring from the shower was hot enough, Katsuki began scrubbing tenderly at Eijirou's skin, leaving a few quick pecks here and there as he assured himself no blood or grime still coated that godlike body that was his husband's.

Soon, he began scratching his head, applying the special shampoo Eijirou used to keep his hair vibrant red. The motion was tender, slow; and it was charged with all the love and affection that Katsuki was feeling at the moment, as he watched Eijirou rely completely on him, chest heaving steadily after the shivering in his limbs had subsided.

"Hey, Eiji, still with me?" he asked then, a hand rubbing fondly at Eijirou's side.

"Mh mh…" Eijirou replied sleepily. "Your hands just feel too good, dude," he said before a yawn took over his whole body.

Katsuki chuckled. "I told you not to call me 'dude', Shitty Hair, I haven't had your tongue in my mouth for more than 15 years (and nine months, and three days)"—he added quickly, almost embarrassed at remembering such minor details—"just for you to call me the same way you call Pikachu and Tape Face," he chided, but there was absolutely no heat behind his words; and he made sure to point it out by lacing their fingers together, kissing the one that bore the proof of their vows in the form an orange and red band tattoo that ran around it, all the while his eyes never left Eijirou's.

And it didn't take much for them (read: Eijirou) to finally be clean enough to switch to the bath tub.

Making sure it had reached the right temperature to soothe Eijirou's muscles, Katsuki hopped in, opening his legs wide enough to have his husband slot himself between them. "Ah… Babe, this is divine," Eijirou whispered, more to himself than to Katsuki, but it didn't matter much when Katsuki could feel all the tension leave his husband as his hands began working on his neck, shoulders, back… Not a single centimeter of his aching body had been left untouched, and given Eijirou's pleasured hums, Katsuki could say he was doing a good job.

"Ah! Yes! There!" Eijirou's voice suddenly raised when Katsuki hit a particularly tough spot, and he couldn't help but laugh before diving back in.

The massage went on for at least an hour, if Katsuki's calculations were correct, and sleepiness was beginning to take a toll on him as well, especially when Eijirou had dropped asleep on his shoulder at least ten minutes ago. Katsuki let himself yawn. "Eiji, baby, let's go to bed, shall we?" he asked placidly, leaving a lingering kiss on his husband's temple.

"Ngh… What? Where am- oh."

Katsuki snickered at Eijirou's confused state, but soon helped him get out of the tub, wrapping both of them in the first towel he found that was big enough for the two of them.

Now clean, relaxed, and dry, they wasted no time in tucking themselves under the covers, their bare bodies flush against one another as they embraced each other. "I love you, Ei," Katsuki whispered against his forehead, his eyes already closing as he felt his lids getting heavier.

"I love you too, baby, so much…" Eijirou replied, finally drifting off to sleep as love and safety encaged him all around.

3 (26-11-5)

Katsuki was antsy. They hadn't been at a party in a long time, especially not at one where he knew almost nobody and prizes weren't being distributed, but Eijirou wanted to go—and what Eijirou wanted, Eijirou got.

He sighed. His husband had already been roped into some random shit he couldn't be paid to care about, and he wanted nothing more than get back home and cuddle up on the couch with him and their son—and maybe also the dog if her royal furry ass felt like it.

"Kacchan?"

And obviously Izuku had to be there as well.

"Yes, Izuku? Isn't there anything more interesting for you to do than bother me? Don't you see how elated I am to be here?" The sarcasm spilled from his lips like water from a broken dam, but anything he got in return was an amused chuckle.

"C'mon, Kacchan, don't be so negative all the time, I'm sure you can also find something to do in the meantime," Izuku said, taking a flute from a waitress and thanking her with his usual smile and a little bow of his head.

"Hah? I'm not negative, Deku!"

"Mh mh, whatever you say, Kacchan." He grinned, and Katsuki really had to contain himself not to blow him up.

Yet, he sighed again. "How's Ochaco, by the way? Haven't seen her in quite a lot of time," he asked, trying to make some light conversation to keep himself from just stomping out of the room. Anything was better than watching Eijirou talk to some extras that couldn't keep their hands to themselves. That was his husband, dammit. But alas, Eijirou was enjoying himself, and Katsuki was not the controlling type (at least, not out loud).

Still, obviously, as soon as he'd mentioned the nerd's wife, his every feature had became softer and his eyes had started shining. "Oh! She's fine! She couldn't make it today because of a mission that's been keeping her occupied for weeks at this point; but apart from that, we have nothing to complain about."

"Good to know," he murmured, but as he was about to ask some other mindless question, they got interrupted by a group of women they'd never seen before. They all looked fairly young, but all caked up in make up and (clear) cosmetic surgery, Katsuki wasn't actually so sure about how old they could have been.

"Deku-san! Dynamight-san!" they all screeched in unison, and Katsuki already felt his anger flare up.

Luckily, Izuku took the word before Katsuki could make them explode. "Hi! It's nice to meet you," he said placidly, raising his hands to try calming them down a little. "We just have to ask you not to call us by our hero names, since we're not on duty, okay?"

The women, all four of them, assented giggling, their long hair swishing in the air like they were part of a shampoo commercial.

Katsuki really wanted to go home now, especially when he could feel being pretty much undressed by the eyes of one of them. He almost shivered under her ravaging look—Fucking hell, he was 44, not 16, he shouldn't feel that uncomfortable just because of some lavish stare.

"…Gou-san?"

Uh? Katsuki swiftly whipped his head in the woman direction as soon as he'd made sure Eijirou was still having fun with his friends. "What did you call me?"

Izuku eyed him, a silent request not to make a scene, but the other three bastards were clearly already planning something if their devious gazes were anything to go by.

"Uhhh… 'Bakugou-san'?" the blonde woman repeated herself, tilting her head and placing a finger over her unnaturally large lips, all intent in looking both cuter and hotter at the same time. Katsuki just found it annoying.

"Why would you ever call me that?" he seethed, already attempting to escape the conversation, maybe with the help of Eijirou himself, since Izuku had seemed to have been roped into following the other three, somehow—so much for wanting to keep peace.

He wasn't so lucky however. "Because that's your name, silly, isn't it, Dynamight-san?"

Katsuki was really considering exploding her. "It's not," he deadpanned, trying to recall all the years of therapy he went through not to be the reason the whole place was going to be set ablaze.

The woman just looked at him quizzically for a second, her gem-like eyes glistening in the unnatural light of the room, but soon a grin adorned her features. "Oh, but I'm sure it is, Dynamight-san! I'm such a fan of yours, I would never forget about your name, silly boy!" she said with a chuckle, a hand already hovering near his waist.

What the fuck.

"My name is Kirishima, you asshole, and don't try touching me again," he said, smacking her hand away, but still trying to maintain his composure—he was a seasoned pro-hero, after all. Fans getting all tactile with them was a daily occurrence. Still, this unnamed woman made it feel worse than usual, somehow.

She pouted, stomping her foot on the floor, like his eight year old son had already stopped doing years ago. "Oh, c'mon! You have a perfectly good woman in front of you and you're still thinking about that man?" she complained, but she kept on getting nearer. "You know," she began, tracing his pecs with a finger; Katsuki's words dying in his mouth for a second. "He's not here right now, I know such a fine man like you can't resist a woman like me." And then she winked.

Katsuki couldn't contain himself anymore. "W-"

"Who's not here?" The voice arrived suddenly, taking Katsuki out of his murderous instincts in a second.

"Oh! Kirishima-san! Nice to meet you!" the woman said, finally leaving Katsuki's personal space to shake hands with Eijirou—Eijirou who squared her up with a fake polite smile before returning the gesture.

"So, what where you talking about with my husband?" he asked, making sure to put stress on the last word.

"Oh, nothing of much importance, really, just letting him know that I was a fan," she replied, also faking. Katsuki didn't miss the twitching in her eye.

Eijirou looked at Katsuki, already reading him to know exactly what he was supposed to do. Katsuki shrugged—at this point he could have done anything, at least he was here and the bastard wasn't touching him anymore.

Eijirou cooed suddenly, pulling him out of his thoughts. "Aww, I'm also a very big fan of his, you know?" he said smiling, and Katsuki had to cover his mouth to muffle a light chuckle that had dared escape his lips. "Actually, we're both each other's biggest fans; right, babe?" Eijirou asked with a grin, and Katsuki couldn't help but roll his eyes.

"Yeah yeah, you idiot, you already know that." And he didn't have time to finish, that his waist had been seized by Eijirou's half embrace, a gesture already so natural to them it had been akin to breathing for a long time.

Katsuki was sure the woman was red under all the concealer on her face. "Oh, that's very good to know," she said between gritted teeth, and Katsuki could only snort—which got him Eijirou elbowing him on the side, his smile still never leaving his face.

"It is!" Eijirou exclaimed. "That's a reason we married each other, you know?" he said, feigning his normal easy-going persona.

And Katsuki, ever the show-off, couldn't help himself, and had to add, "and have been together for 26 years, 11 months and 5 days… Plus a son, if everything else wasn't enough for you," the smug look never leaving his face.

The woman was flaring up. "Well! If you love each other so much how come you're not even wearing rings? It doesn't seem vary faithful of you."

And-

And-

And neither of them was able to suppress the laughter that folded them in two. "DUDE-" Eijirou wheezed, still doubled over. "We- We-" he rasped, as he attempted to recover a semblance of dignity as he hung from Katsuki's shoulder, where his hand was propped trying to keep his balance.

Katsuki's need to kiss him was the strongest it had been in a couple of hours (which was a lot of time for him, okay? Sue him) but he mustered the strength to tear his eyes from his husband and lift his hand. He was still laughing. "So much for being such a big fan of mine," he said. "Do I have to remind you we literally got them tattooed on our skin?"

The orange and red tattoo band was shoved right in front of her face, just before he used two fingers to pinch her cheeks—maybe with a little too much force, but he didn't care. His voice suddenly lowered of an octave. "And don't you ever dare assume again I might even think to cheat on him, not even for all the gold in the world. Not even to have All Might back to life, you got that?"

The woman gulped.

"I didn't hear you. You. Got. That?" His eyes were sternly fixed on her cowering figure, but soon everyone's attention got caught by the doors slamming open.

From the other side, came a very angry Ochaco.

"Ei? Do you happen to know why she's here?" Katsuki asked as he forgot completely about the woman who was still looking at him with a frightened expression. Eijirou just shrugged, rolling his eyes and attempting to whistle—which he knew he wasn't able to do… Which only made the display even more adorable.

It didn't take much however, that people started floating in the air, as Ochaco lifted her husband in a bridal-carry. "LISTEN HERE. HE'S MINE, GOT IT?" she shouted at the women flying against their will. "SO DON'T YOU DARE TOUCH HIM AGAIN, OKAY?"

Mh. Katsuki had to admit he wasn't the only one who'd made a good choice related to spouses. He grinned as he interlocked his finger with Eijirou's, who just squeezed back.

+1 (38-2-11)

It was a special day. A very special day, indeed.

Eijirou and Katsuki were celebrating their 25th year of marriage, their faces still flushed from kissing each other senseless before the start of the party, the ghost sensation of roaming hands still engrained in their brains and bodies. Neither of them could believe how fast the time had flown, their first interaction at USJ feeling like yesterday as it stuck in their older minds like a memento in which their fate had been sealed. Yet, stealing a look at the living room, now adorned with the tackiest ballons Eijirou had been able to find, actually showed all the years that had made them into the wiser—but still stupidly in love—men that they were now. Cultivated friendships, blossomed loves, and children, now turned into the next generation of men and women, all showing themselves in the warm atmosphere that was their found family.

Eijirou grinned with stars in his eyes.

Katsuki smiled placidly, as his hand found Eijirou's waist and pulled him closer, slotting his head in the crook of his husband's neck.

Everyone was there, their friends, relatives; all of them—even if some just as a lingering presence in their hearts—crowded in their house, talking animatedly as they waited for the last few people to arrive to finally move their asses to go the restaurant.

The mood was joyous, especially now that their son finally got back from his honeymoon with his wife, and they could hug each other again after more than half a year of quick phone calls and sporadic messages. Yes, everything was good.

Except for one thing. Denki, always the one to put himself in the worst positions, couldn't seem to shut up, babbling about who knows what to anyone who dared look at him. Soon, Eijirou, as his best friend, had found out he'd kinda had the rough patrol that morning—risking two civilians' lives while almost getting killed himself—and neither Kyouka nor their son had been able to actually calm him down. Which meant he'd started drinking as soon as he'd found the little alcohol Eijirou and Katsuki had stored at home, downing cocktail after cocktail like a madman.

"Sooo, Eiji, Blasty boy, already 25 years? Eh?" he slushed while he neared the couple with wobbly steps for the fourth time that evening.

Eijirou chuckled as Katsuki grunted at Denki's inebriated state, but didn't waste time in pulling him in a side hug and kissing him on the cheek—at which Katsuki shut up, the faintest blush spreading on his cheeks. "C'mon, love, it's only for tonight," he urged a little and, obviously, like the strong-willed man he was, Katsuki relented in a second, just huffing and looking away.

Eijirou—the bastard—laughed at the power he had over him, but well, anything to have him make that melodic sound that still had him whipped after more than thirty years.

Denki wheezed at their interaction, despite not being actually funny. Katsuki's stare hardened again. "Well, Eiji, my man, I still don't know how you put up with Kacchan for all these years, did he pay you? You can tell me the truth, you know? I won't tell a single soul." He nudged Eijirou with his elbow as he began laughing again.

A belly laugh that reverberated through the whole house.

Yet, everyone else fell silent.

A glass crashed, probably Izuku's.

"No, but really, how-" his mad fit of laughter, however, got shut down abruptly as Izuku and Ochaco's daughter, Eijirou and Katsuki's daughter-in-law, put a hand on his shoulder, her ever loving smile, that no one could have enough of, faltering slightly.

"Uncle Denki… I don't think you should…" But she couldn't really finish the sentence, because the tense air got to her, making her throat dry. Her own husband was soon at her side, drawing soothing patterns on her arm.

Quickly, fear arose in Denki's mind, electricity dancing subtly around his head, making his hair stand up on his nape. Katsuki was going to kill him, that was for sure, even his alcohol-fucked-up brain could understand that much. Yet, as he slowly lifted his gaze, he was not met with the sparkly figure of Katsuki's explosions dancing around his body.

He wasn't met with insults, mean comments, or the animalistic snarl the man sometimes would let out when he had really fucked up.

No- What he saw was even worse.

Eijirou was there, standing still, towering over him in his two meters statuary body; and he was looking at him with the darkest expression he'd ever seen in his best friend. His piercing red eyes were boring into his frightened yellow ones; and he knew no one was going to save him now—his own wife and kid (as everyone else) turning their heads when he tried to silently ask for help.

"Denki." Shit.

"Y-yes, Eijirou?" He was sweating under the loose tuxedo that suddenly felt too tight.

"I don't know what kind of bad joke you were trying to make," Eijirou said as he neared Denki even more, pointing a finger right over his chest. "But don't you dare ever imply again that my husband"—and shit, when Eijirou didn't refer to Katsuki with his name, it meant he really was putting distance between them—"is someone I have to 'stand', or 'put up with', or 'accommodate for', or whatever you were trying to say." Eijirou's voice wasn't much more than a growl at this point.

"Katsuki is the best thing that ever happened to me, just tied to my son being born, so don't ever think of mentioning him in relation to me if not to praise how good of a life-partner he is—And I don't care if you feel your marriage is something negative, I'm just sad for Kyouka, because she'd never deserve this, but mine is the fucking highlight of my entire fucking life.

"I don't know if your little brain can even begin to fathom that we've been together for exactly 38 years, 2 months, and 11 days and not once I've ever thought he wasn't my best match, my other half, the man that was going to be fucking mine not only until death do us apart, but also after.

"So, I'd be glad if you could rethink your life choices if they make you so miserable, but don't project them onto those of us whose partners always stuck up with them even when the whole world didn't, even when we couldn't even say we were together because being gay was such a scary concept. And he could have literally dropped me, asked me to just stay friends because everything would have been simpler, but no, he has always been there right next to me, helping me fight my own battles until this was the life that we were able to obtain, despite everything.

"Do you understand, Denki? Or do you need me to repeat myself?"

If the room was quite before, now it was dead silent. The faint buzz of Denki's electricity gone as well. "N-no… No need to repeat yourself, I-I got it…"

Denki was still frightened out of his mind, but as soon as he'd finished speaking, it was as if a switch had flipped in Eijirou—his darkened eyes getting back to their usual bright red, and his toothy smile touching the ceiling again. "Good!" he said as he pat a gaping Denki.

Everyone collectively let out a sigh.

Everyone but Katsuki, that is to say.

Katsuki was still slightly trembling after hearing everything Eijirou had to say about him, his skin completely red and boiling hot as his mouth hung open.

"I-" he mustered, everyone's attention shifting to him. Unfortunately, all he could think of right now was how the suits they were wearing—the ones tailored to look exactly like the ones they'd been wearing during their first time at I-Island—were really getting on his nerves, and he just wanted to rip them off to have Eijirou's whole body pressing onto his. And if he were to repeat those words, in that same low voice, right into his ear, he really, really wouldn't have complained.
