Chapter Text

Bachira heads outside and away from the loud bustling castle, clamor of voices indoors getting shut out by the calm winds outdoors that provided an atmosphere completely opposite to the one inside. Her short length chocolate colored hair is flowing with the wind, golden tips flaring out every movement that normally rest right at her shoulders. The small golden crown sits on her head, capturing the light making it shimmer from different angles.

She stands there admiring the beautiful view of the gorgeous flowers and glistening white shining moon above that may be the only source of light needed out here. It was practically lighting up everything below it and the use of lamps out here were very much not needed. Deep shades of indigo an black coat the sky beautifully letting the stars shine even brighter against them.

Bachira notices that it's almost or even completely silent out here which is calming considering the amount of loud sounds heard from the party behind her.

"I wasn't expecting company." A woman's voice cuts through the peaceful silence in the garden. Bachira turned to the figure sitting on the bench by herself. She has luscious emerald hair trailing down to her hips and a greenish black gown that matches perfectly with her hair. A silver crown is seated against her head, matching the rest of her cool toned look. She turns her head slightly as if trying to see who the unexpected visitor was.

"Oh I'm so sorry for intruding!" Bachira apologizes hoping she doesn't get in to any trouble for being out here when her presence is required to be present at the party.

"I just saw the beautiful view from the window and came over to check it out. I didn't expect someone else to already be out here." The girl at the bench laughs, one free of mockery. Something about watching her laugh so contently makes a weird butterfly feeling go off inside her.

"Yes, the view out here is quite splendid." She turns around completely now, facing the other, allowing Bachira to be able to recognize who she is.

Rin Itoshi. Second daughter of the Itoshi family and sister of Princess Sae Itoshi, soon to be married.

Rin has a gentle smile on her face as she makes a gesture with her hand, signaling the shorter one to come closer from her current spot at the entry.

Once walking over they now stand side by side, close enough to touch shoulders.

"Well since you heard my reason for being out here, Princess Rin, you wouldn't mind me asking for yours?" Bachira asks, curious about why the sister of the star of the party today is outside instead of being indoors, enjoying the event; well Bachira couldn't be talking cause she too should be inside that castle. Rin pauses for a split second before nodding

"It's only fair isn't it?" She turns to face Bachira only to see that the other was already facing her sitting down on the bench. "Well, I'm not a big fan of my sister and family much so I came out here for some privacy." She speaks as she joins her on the bench. It's not uncommon for princes and princesses to despise their families, even if it's very little. Not many are treated fairly and work hard to meet high expectations. Bachira would actually say she's very lucky to be able to get a family that truly loves her and not just for reputation. The two continue to chat about their personal life and experiences they have had.

The two were quite like opposites in a way.

Moon and sun.

Around a few hours later they both were called back into the venue since their absence has been discovered.

"Well that was a lovely talk but I believe we should head back on in." Rin stands up dusting her gown for any loose dirt that the wind may have picked up. Bachira nods before also standing up and heading towards the entrance where she first came from.

"I'd say we're pretty close now aren't we Rin-chan~." She giggles before heading back in to the loud crowd of people, dancing and laughing away, as if nothing happened and using a nickname without her permission was completely normal; who knows maybe it is for Bachira. Rin stands frozen from shock of the sudden use of a nickname that the other had chosen. It was uncommon for two royal members of the same gender to get close enough for a use of nicknames or of friendly gestures that seemed more fitting for close friends, not two princess that could be rivaling kingdoms in the future, but Bachira didn't seem to care at all. The sudden closeness might cause suspicion between the two and rumors would spread quickly through kingdom to kingdom. Yet none of that seemed to matter for them both.

"Rin-chan, huh." She smirks taking on the challenge. "Two can play this game, bob-cut~"
