Summary
Annabeth stayed silent for a beat. When she looked up at the stars, the goddess imagined she was holding up her words to the moonlight to test their solidity, comparing their severity against private recollections of her brother's faults. Was he so bad? So irredeemable?
"Could you hate him?"
The goddess blinked, slow. Annabeth's voice was now as small as she looked, curling in on herself.
"If Apollo did that to you. If he asked you to carry the sky for him."

Artemis needs her brother, and Annabeth does too.
This is a measly attempt at a meditation on what happens after Othrys, and after your brother breaks your bones and your heart. The scars run deeper than they should, and a goddess checks in on a fourteen-year-old girl who decided against joining the hunt.

Lovely to see not only a glimpse into Artemis Psyche but her views on things, her relationship with Apollo, Zoe, Thalia and Annabeth.(I will also always love the fact that the fandom decided to explore Mount Othrys and everything surrounding it).
Beautiful, delightful, lyrical prose/storytelling here. I devoured this fic and has certainly become one of my favorites of this year (if not in my all time list)
