After having just left the diner to celebrate their new music video release, Ena was tired and rather ready to go home, but it seemed like the universe had other plans as Mizuki said hello to an unfamiliar yet cute face. Apparently her name was An? It seemed to ring a few bells, but nothing beyond that. That was until Akito and his partner Toya walked up to them too.
So she must be from Akito's group, huh? Why didn't he ever tell me about any of them besides Toya? Ena wondered to herself as Mizuki and An chatted away.
Ena couldnt believe Akito had never brought up such a beautiful girl before, more evidence that he was gay for Toya. But seriously, her outfit and sense of style were so cool, her amber eyes that were both kind and had a fire behind them, ready to take on the world.
It seemed like the two groups were just about to disband and go their own separate ways when Ena had to quickly think of something to introduce herself to An.
“Say, An, you said you were Mizuki's classmate, right? So what is she like in class?” Ena asked abruptly. It would serve two purposes: one, allowing her to talk to the beautiful blue-haired girl for just a little, and two, it might help Ena to figure out what secret Mizuki was hiding.
She didn't honestly care too much about what An had to say; she was just immediately entranced by her voice. It was powerful and beautiful, and it radiated. She could understand why she was a street performer. Not paying too much attention to what An had to say didn't seem to matter much in terms of gleaning more about Mizuki anyway; she was a good enough friend not to spill secrets like that, another admirable trait of hers.
Then the groups actually split off from each other, with An and VBS going back to Weekend Garage to practice for just a bit longer; it led Ena to have time to think about what just happened with the other group.
As she walked home with Mizuki, both living in the same general direction, she had to think about An. She was simply so gorgeous, both in looks and personality. Seriously, if Akito was at all attracted to women, he would have tried to ask An out.
“Whatcha thinking about Enaan~?” Mizuki's voice broke through Enas thinking.
Right there was another problem. Besides being Akito's groupmate, An was also Mizuki's best friend. She didn't care so much about what Akito had to say if she were to ask An out, but Mizuki? Surely it would break the poor girl's heart if her two best friends were to start dating. Look at her now, fantasizing about dating An, having just met.
“Nothing, Mizuki. And stop calling me Enaan!” She snapped at her.
“Oh come on, you can't fool me that easily! That's the face of someone deep in thought about something … or someone,” Mizuki said, taking on the end quickly, causing Enna's face to heat up. “Aha! So was it Toya? How scandalous, Ena! Dating your brother's best friend and singing partner.” Mizuki teased.
“WHAT!? EW NO.” Ena quickly yelled back, too defensive.
“Ahh, so it wasn't Toya, hmmm. Kohane didn't talk too much, and I don't think you two would get along too well with each other, at least not to the point of you having a crush … which only leaves An!” Mizuki deduced, mocking Enas attempt to hide her crush.
“FINE! Yes, I have a crush on An, okay?” Ena said, trying to get Mizuki off her case.
“Ahh, love at first sight~ how cute! An is a lesbian, so you have a pretty good shot being such a cute girl yourself!”
“W-wait, you don't care that I have a crush on your best friend? Not at all?”
“Nahhh~ I was never too much into dating anyway, but all the more power to ya for finding a cute girl like that! You two would be a cute couple~.” Mizuki replied plainly. There was a hint of dishonesty in her voice, but Ena didn't care enough to pry even more into what Mizuki was hiding.
“Sides lil’bro is gonna care a whole lot more than I am. Even if he doesn't want to date An himself, he'd do anything in his power to keep you two from each other just to see less of you~.” Mizuki reasoned.
Akito would be a big hurdle if she were to actually try and date An, but that's even assuming An liked Ena herself. Sure, she was also a lesbian, but just because two lesbians know each other doesn't mean they just immediately start dating each other.
“Welp, this is my stop! Talk to you later on nightcord, okay, Ena? Good luck with lil’bro and An, okay?” Mizuki said as she made a turn to her house.
Yeah, good luck … I just hope it isn't too weird to find a person I just met so attractive. Ena thought to herself
Meanwhile, at Weekend Garage, An was having similar struggles with her newfound attraction.
“Hey Akito, your sister is hot.”
“WHAT?”
