Summary
Paintbrush didn't have the best opinion of Fan. A lousy roommate, way too annoying when you're trying to sleep, and *will* talk your ear off. They'd found ways to exist with him in the same room despite that, learning more and more about his agonizing quirks as they did.
Paintbrush was the one who retrieved Fan as he fell from the cliff, ignited in bright flames. They make a wish as they run. They make a wish as they return him to the hospital. They make a wish as they wait for him to wake up. To please let him be alright.
When Fan wakes up, something is wrong.
