Work Text:

The crunch of gravel under your feet is the only sound made in the thick forest, quietly approaching the 'abandoned' safe house. It's a sound that's familiar to you, reminding you of your morning runs around base while the rising sun sends purple hues across the sky.

Correction on 'abandoned', considering there were 9 hostiles patrolling the area, each at one corner of the site and then some, with a source of intel that led you and Ghost on a excursion to extract data regarding ties to a high-profile drug operation involving popular politicians hosting large 'parties' and executing undercover deals. If the intel is correct, Price would be able to carry out the in-the-works plan of an undercover ambush at the next event, ironically called a 'Black and White Gala'. Fitting for the underlying trades of methamphetamine in the sub-levels of Reed Carter's villa, a member of Congress who fittingly is trying to diminish drug regulations across the nation.

Tonight would have served as a solo Ghost mission. The classic lone-wolf kind that'd take him no time at all, would need no backup, and would be successful, as always.

Until you came with him.

Thanks to the last operation leaving him with a bullet to his side, now removed, Price commanded that he take a soldier as backup, just as a precaution.

There was no need for 'precautions' with Ghost. But if there's one thing he was thankful for, it was your competence.

He's noticed you for a while now, seeing impressive marks across the board, slowly becoming impressed by your greatness. Maybe, he tells himself, you could be as good as him one day. It's a high compliment coming from the man who barely speaks.

But that doesn't remove his piss-poor attitude at the ruining of his rightful solo mission.

"Entry point should be coming up soon," you mutter to him, staying close behind. "Seems like the ones at each corner rotate in a clockwise manner about every 5 to 6 minutes."

He stays silent, pushing forward.

You take it as acknowledgement, and his sense of not wanting to draw more attention with a response. It doesn't take long to reach the site, Price alerting you both ahead of time of the hostile's movements near the extraction point.

You both duck under cover once a hostile approaches, stealthily reaching the entry point and slipping inside the safe house.

Piece of cake.

Inside is a little more tricky than that, though, thanks to Ghost.

He nearly leaves you behind with his speed, sneaking past lingering hostiles carrying rifles, quickly subduing them with an efficiency that makes you wonder what the rush is for. It's a stealth mission after all.

"Ghost, data's here." You speak over comms, directing his attention to the locked office with a lit computer screen illuminating the dark room.

He turns to you, nodding and walking towards you to picklock the door.

Entering was easier than ever, and so should retrieving the files be.

The monitor was left on, a blank desktop with a singular file on it, a text document containing a long list. You confirm the list with your own eyes, seeing the list of politicians and even celebrities involved in this entire scheme. Extracting the files onto a USB, your heart races in the anxiousness of potentially getting caught.

You're better than this, you know you are, but you're still human.

The extraction is complete, and you raise the USB to confirm the success, before Ghost takes the item from you and pockets it. Not exactly what you implied, but you're starting to suspect some sort of unprecedented hostility from him.

"Is something wrong?"

"Let's get out of here."

"You're rushing this, Ghost. It's a stealth mission, not a race."

"You're tellin' me what to do?"

The room becomes tense quickly. A silence washes over you two, yet you don't know what to say. He's your lieutenant, after all, and there's no reason for you to try to put him in his place, much less remind him what he's doing. But you only call out this behavior out of concern, worried you might've done something to upset him. Nothing, from what you remember.

"I'm your superior," he starts, walking closer to you. You feel yourself shrinking at his sheer build, swallowing thickly whilst you avert his gaze. "You listen to me. You follow me, you stay behind, and you keep your fuckin' mouth shut. Got it?"

"I'm just as capable as you, y'know. There's no reason to be so hostile."

"Hostile? Only hostile thing in here are the fuckers outside. Fix the attitude and know your place."

You scoff, angered by his worsening demeanor, before straightening your spine and stepping closer too.

"I don't know what stick got up your ass tonight, but—" A voice is heard down the hall, and before you know it, Ghost's hand is pressed against your mouth, and your body is pinned against the wall.

His figure is hard, built firm and bulky, felt even through the gear. His eyes flit to yours for a split moment, before staring back at the wall, still as ever, waiting for the men to leave.

They converse from a distance, yet still in the way of the exit enough to prevent you two from leaving. You're trapped until further notice.

"See what happens when you run your mouth?" He mutters, making you twist your face in annoyance.

The men approach, congregating closer as they chat about meaningless anecdotes. Very professional of them, you think. No wonder they're getting raided under their noses.

He presses closer, his thigh slipping between your legs.

Your eyes widen at the proximity, whilst his limb sits against your crotch.

Fuck.

Heat shoots up your spine, suddenly spiking your senses and making you swallow a thick, heated moan.

His right hand tightens on your arm, pressing even closer to hide his form against the shadows once the men pass by. His thigh presses deeper against you, and your hips jerk just the slightest inch in response. The reaction doesn't seem to alert him, possibly passable as a squirm of discomfort or repositioning, unknowingly to him, a suppressed grind against his leg.

You exhale shakily, squeezing your eyes shut, hoping the darkness of the office does enough to mask your expression.

Lucky bastard, Ghost, able to disguise his face with a skull.

The voices soon dissipate down the hall, the patrol soldiers switching their positions and rotating clockwise, just as you gathered. He leans back, letting you sigh and catch your breath, before nodding his head towards the exit.

Extraction was a breeze from then, but your mind was more occupied on the events that transpired in the office to remember how exactly you two got out of there, deciding to stay silent and follow his lead. You think you've been depraved a little too long, and any sort of touch down there had drove you to the point of nearly whining in your superior's hand.

You've got to get it together.

Hopping in the truck, he starts the car and drives off back to base. Simple mission as always, he thinks, but it could have been simpler alone.

He'll talk to Price about reconsidering deploying backup for him after the debrief.

Unbeknownst to you, however, Ghost did notice. So much so, that he purposefully inched closer to test your reaction. So much for a perfect soldier, he thinks, watching how easily you fall apart with a leg pressed up against your cunt. So quick to fall into ruin, he thinks, wondering what else it would take to get a reaction from you.

Interrupting the silence in the vehicle, Ghost finally decides to speak.

"Try not to get off to your lieutenant's leg next time."

You don't speak for the rest of the ride.

But he's decided to leave it for now.

He'll deal with you later, beyond simple grinding.
