Babyji is six years old when he first meets Babyxian(5 yo).
While they have not yet presented, their scent glands are present, and very sensitive.
Babyxian spends all his time annoying his Lan-er-gege. Following him around, babbling like cute 5 year olds do, essentially, glued to liddol Babyji.
Can you see where this is going?
Babyji, fed up, and a cranky 6 year old, snaps, and bites him. Right where his scent gland would be.
Now, since they are young, and unpresented, it doesn’t really matter. What matters is that Babyji is not yet out of his biting phase (he never really will be) and bit Babyxian on a very sensitive spot.
Ensue 2 babies crying as Cangse Sanren and Lan Qiren run to see what happened. Lan Qiren is mortified trying to pacify Babyji while also telling him that was very inappropriate because look! His friend is hurt and crying. Cangse Sanren is laughing it off, telling Lan Qiren, they are simply kids, and it happens.
She does tell him, snickering, that Babyji better take responsibility if they do end up bonding for real in the future. Lan Qiren simply shakes his head, and makes Babyji apologize to Babyxian, who, sniffing, says he'll only forgive Babyji if he plays with him.
They play. They forgive.
But they don’t forget.
And this is not because of animosity. They barely remember the incident, and Cangse Sanren does not bring it up as often as you would think she would to tease Lan Wangji.
It is because there is a small ring of teeth, scarred on Wen Wuxian’s scent gland, and every time Wei Wuxian sees Lan Wangji, you can bet he’ll be reminding Lan Wangji of what he did, and is always saying :
WWX : Lan-er-gege!! You can never leave me now!! Not until this scar fades, and we are no longer mated! (dramatic). You are STUCK WITH ME!
A decade passes, and the two of them have obviously presented.
Wei Wuxian, and omega, much to Lan Wangji’s delight, who presented as an alpha.
Omegaxian was sent to Cloud Recess for the lectures, and spends all his time either breaking rules or bothering Alphaji.
One noteworthy moment occurs in the afternoon, when Omegaxian is copying rules with Alphaji, and, of course, bothering him. Spicy lavender with hints of vanilla floats around, intermingling with cold pine and sandalwood and Omegaxian pushes all the buttons he can.
WWX : Lan Zhannn~! See this rule! About NOT forcing a bite onto someone! That's what you did 10 years ago! You better copy the rules for that!!
Alphaji ignores him, ears red, and Omegaxian continues.
WWX : See! Now, I will only allow you to leave me once this scar fades! No going around with other omegas until-
He is very promptly cut off with Alphaji’s scent thickening as he is pulled into a firm lap, large hands around his tiny waist.
He’s about to push, but he yelps when Alphaji sinks his sharp canines into Omegaxian’s scent gland, breaking skin.
Omegaxian went limp as pheromones flooded his system, mind going hazy. Alphaji growled lowly, teeth still firmly in his scent gland as Alphaji tastes the pheromones he’s been wanting for years after so long.
Alphaji only let go to admire the new scar, a larger ring of teeth around the much smaller, faded ring of teeth. He licked at the blood spilling, crooning softly as Omegaxian whimpered in his hold
WWX : L-Lan Zhan, what-?
LWJ (smirking faintly) : I cannot leave Wei Ying until these new scars fade. He cannot leave me either.
Of course, this new scar doesn’t fade at all, since, not only had they presented, but that had also, essentially, marked each other.
Alphaji does end up copying rules for the “forcing a bite onto someone,” be we all know this “someone” enjoyed it. 😉😉
