It was supposed to be a normal day at work. Just clean the streets like everyday, no interruptions, no disturbances, just like it's supposed to be. Fate, apparently, had very very different plans for you.
"The Freak Circus of Horrors" decided to come to your town, littering every nook and cranny with flyers, and, of course, you had to be the one to clean up after them. However, even if you have to put in some extra hours, at least you'd get paid more, and that was all! It luckily wasn't some life-changing event for you, after all!
Actually, it wouldn't have been one, or rather, it shouldn't have been one, if only you hadn't gotten their interest. How did you manage to do that? You didn't even go into the circus!
