Hello everynyan!!!
Wifies was so comfortably warm.. Hummer could just- fall asleep on top of him.
His sweater had a kind of softness that clouds could only dream of.
Wifies' breathing was slow, rhythmic. Hummer just felt so consoled by it.
The silence that lingered between them was beautiful. The waves crashing against the hard wood of the boat created the perfect ambiance for the moment along with the nearby seagull's calls.
Although Hummer kept subsconciously tuning down everything just to hear Wifies' heartbeats.
It was the only thing that he could focus on at that moment.
Wifies was the only thing he could focus on.
His hand rubbing his back, his gentle breathing, his face, how peaceful he looked.
He was happy with Wifies.
He had always been, even from the start; When they had just met, since the moment Wifies confronted him about him faking that screenshot.. He knew they were going to get along.
His eyes drifted around the room: Towards the purple jacket on the floor, his TV helmet sitting right next to them, the lanterns swaying softly due to the harsh sea wind..
It was a good moment.
He didn't know why he always searched for comfort in Wifies so much.
He wasn't even sure what he needed comforting for.
Maybe for everything.
Maybe for nothing in particular.
Maybe just because Wifies was there and he needed to- To just spend time with him in some way.
He looked back at Wifies, he seemed to have already fallen asleep.. He's a quick sleeper that's for sure, Hummer wished he could fall asleep that fast.
Hummer smiled, he loved this sight; He had never seen Wifies in such... Vulnerable state. This was just like those scenes he would read on books and always thought that they were too unrealistic.
But lookie lookie to where he is now.
He moved away one of Wifies' strands of hair that were covering his face.
He just looked so calm, so peaceful.. Oh he was beautiful.
Hummer blinked.
Since when did that become his first thought?
Well, it wasn't lie exactly, now is it.. He'll think about that later.
He closed his eyes, slowly giving in to his desperate need for sleep.
He hadn't slept well in months thanks to his intensive, restless, and tiring research on The Leviathan.
How had ended up like this? When did he let himself get lost and neglected? Why did he even try to find Levi?
Why couldn't he find Levi? Did he not believe enough? Was he not devout enough?
Maybe.. He wasn't going to be able to... See Levi-
No.
That couldn't be. He just had to believe. Believe himself. Believe that Levi was real.
But there still was this chance of Arronax being right; Maybe The Leviathan was just a bug..
But it couldn't be! He devoted so much time into searching for him— He won't just stop believing in him because of someone's dumb theory that they treat as fact!
It just couldn't be true- She HAD to be wrong. Arronax was wrong, right? Was she? Or was he the one who just couldn't let go not accept reality?
Why had he even gotten so fixated on finding Levi?
Why did he do this to himself.
He was just, glued to his screen most of the time of the day, looking at reports of different servers that were talking about "The Leviathan", their encounters.. Most of them were fake. But some were impossible to know if were faked or not.
Wifies probably knew about this as well.
Why did he decide to do this to his life? Was going to ever recover from this?
Being on forum platforms like Reddit, searching for anyone saying " Hey guys, I found the Leviathan!!! " for so long had really messed him up.
Ok, he felt dumb now.
He was a bit tired of.. Searching in empty waters, why couldn't Levi just show itself already? He was its most devoted follower why wouldn't it jus-
"Hummer."
Wifies' voice caught him off guard. He gulped softly, "Yes?.. "
"You're thinking too loud. " He said, his voice a bit groggy, ha hadn't slept that long but- Nevermind.
"What?" He lifted himself upwards, just enough to tower over the laying Wifies below him. "WatDatMean?? " He looked at the man below him, his eyes half lidded poorly, drool? Wow even aurafarmers do that.
Wifies let out a raspy laugh, wiping off the saliva that had been going down his mouth. "Well, it's easy to tell. " He huffed, "Your face always does that thing. "
Hummer tilted his head, "?? Huh??? What thing exactly? "
Wifies shuffled on the narrow sofa trying to find a more comfortable position to keep talking to his partner. "That thing where you look like you're having the worst nightmare of your life!" He smiled, "It's a bad look on you.. I like it better when you're just happy, you know? "
Hummer felt his face get hotter by the second, he burrowed his head on Wifies' sweater.
The other laughed at the interaction, he didn't expect Hummer to genuinely become a mess just like that! Seriously, that fast? That easy?
Wifies was going to have a really fun(ny) time with this guy, now wasn't he.
"Oh, come on Hummer! " He ruffled the other's hair, getting a groan from him. "There's no way you're really this easily flustered! "
He grabbed Hummer's face, bringing it up to his to leave a kiss on his forehead.
Hummer's face was red and scorching hot, this felt so pathetic in his own eyes.. Not not in Wifies' though. He found everything about this moment cute:
The position they were in —Hummer lying on top of him, his face hidden in his sweater.
The warmth.
The quiet.
The way Hummer got flustered over the smallest things.
.
.
.
It was nice.. In a way.
Wifies let out a breath he didn't know he was holding, "You're cute. " He smiled softly, seeing Hummer groan, there wasn't any type of anger behind it— He just didn't know how to react. “I hope you know that. I'm going back to sleep. "
"Alright.. " Hummer said, face still shoved against Wifies's gray-ish purple sweater.
He hadn't been shown affection in.. A while.
Mostly because he didn't have any type of friends to tell him affectionate stuff. It was nice at least having someone who called him and thought he was cute.
He had never been called that before.
Never.
It felt so... Rewarding?
He didn't know if that was the right word. But it was more rewarding than going down into the ocean again. He was happy, and that was all that mattered to him in that moment.
He liked it in here.
For the first time..
He was happy with his choices.
He was happy to have decided to forgive Wifies so many times.
Because if he hadn't— He would probably be alone right now.
Under the sea.
Drowning.
He'd spent months staring at the ocean.
Looking for a shadow beneath the water.
Funny.
Because thing that changed his life hadn't been hiding in the sea.
It had been arguing with him over a fake screenshot.. Over such a minimal detail like the generation of the water.
Life worked in strange ways, right?
Maybe... Just maybe...
He could stop searching for Levi one night and give himself a good, well deserved rest..
The end bc I don't have any ideas left
