That is what Olvan, leader of the Greencloaks tells 25 year old Kyela Ateara after Lenori foresees the rise of five children known as "The Fated Keepers" who will summon spirit animals and aid the Greencloaks in their fight against the Conquerors. But Olvan's choice of words could have been better, because Kyela had just lost four good friends and watched the last remaining be so traumatized that he hardly speaks to anybody anymore.
But she doesn't have time to waste. With guidance from Lenori, assistance from other Greencloaks and of course her spirit animal Scout by her side... Kyela will find these kids and keep them alive.
Even if it kills her.
