Road to hell

Summary:

inspired by @ShinyRubyy 's 'how to redeem a soul'

there's a severe lack of Hazbin reacts fics on here, so i've decided to do the lords work. Worship me.

A soul in heaven is tired of the secrecy and lies and decides to broadcast the lives of the Hazbin Hotel residents to all of heaven and hell, to prove souls can be redeemed, and maybe some souls should fall..

Notes:

hi! as i mentioned this story is inspired by ShinyRubyy's so go and give them a look too! this will be updated in between my other two fics as and when i feel like it to be quite honest. Comments are welcome and encouraged but do bare in mind this is my fanfic and if you don't like how i portray your characters it is unfortunately tough shit. Love you tho!

This is a short one to start us off, just to establish characters mainly. Please note others have done this kind of fic and there is only so many ways it can be done so do have patience with me.

Hazbin Hotel and its characters are owned by Vivian Medrano
Title from Hadestown

Chapter 1: the broadcast

Chapter Text

In Heaven, things were slowly going down hill. The winners went about their day to day afterlife without a care in the world, completely unaware of the ground breaking discovery that had been made and could change everything.

Sera gazed upon Sir Pentious with uncertainty and distrust, completely unsure for the first time in her existence. What was she to do with this soul?

Emily was beside her, desperately trying to convince her this demon had been redeemed. That he had somehow earned his place amongst their people, she did not dare believe it.

before she could reject her theory, all the tv screens and radio's in heaven flicked to life, with a message to their citizens.

"greetings and salutations! hello citizens of hell, heaven and whatever puragtory lives inbetween!"

"who the fuck-"

"language Molly!"

"there has been a very interesting series of events haven't there? Events some of our citizens have not heard a word about.. does that seem right to you guys?"

concerned murmurs filled the streets of heaven, suspicions already growing. Something had felt different lately, something had changed their world and maybe they would finally find out. Heaven never had been as perfect as it seemed...

Down in Hell, sinners were not as receptive to this mysterious turn of events. Alastor swung his microphone into the radio, desperately trying to smash it into pieces.

"Al- c'mon Alastor!" Charlie attempted to stop him.

"Al isn't this supposed ta be like, ya whole thing?" Angel sat at the bar with Husk, watching Alastor lose his mind at every radio he came across.

"so, i'll be showing you all whats happened over these past few months!" the voice rang out, sending a fresh wave of anger through Alastor.

"wait what?" Charlie looked at the screen confused, for the moment it was only displaying static. How were they going to do that?

"starting with the Hazbin Hotel.."

On the other side of Hell, Vox was also losing his shit. All of his screens had been overtaken by whoever this asshole was. He threw drink after drink at every tv screen in sight.

"Voxxy, baby relax" Val drawled, lighting his cigarette and taking a lazy drag, "It's not like it has anything to do with us"

"V̵̱̎A̶͖̦̳̳̻͈͉̼͌̅͆̓̓̎͜L̸̛͔͆̀̈́͋̔." Vox snapped, his screen flashing red. "Tv is MY domain. It has everything to do with us" He stomped around their entertaining room, cursing to himself.

"okay, nothing to do with me and baby doll then" he smirked and winked at Vel, who cackled but never tore her eyes from her phone.

"You realise Angel is at that ratty little hotel though Val" Velvette added, scrolling like nothing could touch her. "Lucifer knows what hes been saying about you to them, what secrets he's blabbed"

"Oh shit!" Valentino shot up, trying to bash in the tv screen that suddenly seemed indestructible, like it would stop the 100s of other screens in Hell..

Back in Heaven, the panic was just as bad.

Lute slammed her fists into a nearby wall, rage overcoming her. They had just lost Adam and someone had the audacity to stalk them, to broadcast everything they had trying to protect the winners from to maintain their eternal peace.

Sera tiredly tried to make her stop "Lute, that is enough" she sighed, reclining in her high back chair. She had already accepted there was nothing they could do but accept this problem, monitor it and deal with the fall out accordingly.

"why is anyone even panicking?" Emily flapped around exasperatedly "what have we to hide? we have good news! redemption is possible!" she pushed, flying right up to Sera.

"Redemption is NOT POSSIBLE" Lute yelled, slamming her foot into the marble floor, "and as soon as this is over ill prove it"

The Hazbin Hotel had descended quickly into chaos after the final part of the announcement.

Angel Dust had thrown the tv to the ground, stomping on it repeatedly to no avail.

Husk was doing his best to pull Angel off, arms wrapped around his waist and pulling him as hard as he could

Alastor had grabbed every radio in the hotel and was desperately trying to rip them to pieces, also to no avail. Whatever had taken over their technology had clearly cast some kind of protection on them.

"GUYS" Charlie yelled, and everyone stopped in their tracks, panting and sweating heavily.

"Listen, whatever this is, we can't stop it okay? Let's just watch. Maybe we will even learn something that can help us with redemption!" She beamed. Nobody had the heart to deny her, or the balls to deny Vaggie who stood behind her with a spear and a scowl.

They all reluctantly righted the devices, dusted themselves off and sat down, resigning themselves to whatever new torment had descended into Hell.

One spider in particular hid away in a dark corner of Hell, sat beside his father almost not daring to believe.

The Hazbin Hotel?

Wasn't that where Anthony was staying?

He dared to hope Tony was still there, and maybe this way he could check in on his brother without risking getting shot by his father or by Anthony himself. And maybe, we would finally see if redemption was really possible..

Maybe they could see Molly again one day.
