Summary
Alastor’s life is falling apart. The universe is attacking him—perhaps collecting karma for the lives he’s taken—but as if that were never enough, as if a nightmare of childhood and adulthood weren’t sufficient, it also takes away the only defense he has left: his voice.
A traumatic response he refuses to acknowledge. With the crushing weight of being unable to utter a single word without feeling the urge to tear his own throat out, he begins to sink into darkness. At least, until Mimzy arrives. She’s not a beacon, much less an angel sent to save him, but she’s an anchor—someone who makes sure he keeps breathing.

Summary
A love story that began with an angel’s devotion and a demon’s adoration, where excess flirts with arrogance, and love flirts with violence. A path of roses that started in innocence soon revealed its thorns, and now, amid dried blood and broken promises, Alastor walks through the rosebush with his wounds still bleeding.
