In this world, People will only start seeing colors when they meet their soulmate.
Wonwoo wishes he could see colors. But for 22 years Wonwoo saw the world in black and white. Most kids meet their soulmate in their teenage years or in high school but Wonwoo never did, That makes him different.
His mother usually tells him to wait—how the moment will come one day. But his classmates thought different. He was always bullied at school for not meeting his soulmate, He hates it. But in college, life got better. He met new people, made new friends—He was starting to learn to enjoy life, maybe smilling is easy when you're with good people.

Wonwoo was at his friends house to watch a movie but—currently they are arguing what movie to watch, well not all of them just Hoshi and Jun. Those two are the most energetic of the group—while on the couch, Wonwoo, Woozi and Minghao were silently judging them. All of them except Wonwoo met their soulmates. Hoshi and Woozi are soulmates so is Jun and Minghao.
If Wonwoo remembers Jun told him that he and Minghao met two years ago, In a concert in Seoul, Jun was so nervous that he said hi to Minghao in chinese—not knowing the younger one was also chinese. What's better is that they got seats next to eachother, So they can spend time together the whole concert. They went on a few dates and after two months of going on dates, Jun finally asked Minghao to be his boyfriend.They were together ever since.
For Hoshi and Jihoon. They went to the same highschool but in different classes. They first met when Hoshi's teacher told Hoshi to get something from Woozi's class they looked at eachother and saw colors, thats how they first met. At first Woozi was really shy but now they've been together for 5 years.
Wonwoo sometimes wonder if his soulmate will love him like his friends love their soulmate.
Wonwoo finally snapped back to reality, They finally decided on a movie and Hoshi is preparing the popcorn with Woozi, Jun and Minghao were cuddling on the couch and Wonwoo was next to them. "Yuck" Wonwoo muttered
Jun side–eyed him
"Trust me, When you meet your soulmate.You will be just like me and Minghao" Jun said defensively. Minghao hit Jun on the chest softly.
"Wonwoo's right, we were kind of being disgustingly in love right now. We should just hug at home later" Minghao said to Jun. Only to get hugged tighter by Jun.
Wonwoo sighed and closed his eyes. Lovebirds. He wonders if his soulmate will love him like that too.

It was a thursday evening, The type where the sky starts turning dark Wonwoo found this cafe near his campus, He likes going to random cafes. It looks peaceful. So naturally Wonwoo went in to study and work on his assignments. He ordered a black americano. Simple, He liked it. He was so busy studying that he didn't notice that people started leaving, Except one person. But Wonwoo was too busy to notice.
"Hey can I sit here" The stranger asked Wonwoo.
Wonwoo made a little frown but didn't look up to see the stragers face
"sure" he muttered
The boy sat down.
Wonwoo slowly looked up at him.
The man was looking at him too. He looks tall and muscular, a small smile escaped his lips.
Suddenly, The mans eyes turned into a warm brown. After that, His whole body started having colors. Wonwoo was shocked was this what he thought this is? He looked at the mans face. The man was equally shocked as him, Like he finally found the last missing puzzle piece of his life. Around him colors slowly appeared, like they wanted him to remember the moment. Wonwoo blinked—His surroundings are fulled of colors now. The man who is Wonwoo's soulmate is taller than him, his skin a little tanned, broad shoulders,he was wearing a casual green shirt. He looked hot. Wonwoo blushed at the thought. This is your soulmate Wonwoo thought to himself.
A voice cut in.
"Whats your name?"
Wonwoo quickly looked up. The man was looking at him—Probably equally flustered.
"Wonwoo" he whispered
The man was smiling now "Cute. I'm Mingyu"
That comment made Wonwoo blush.
They talked for a while. About their hobbies, family, friends just random stuff.
Wonwoo really enjoyed talking to him. He also learnt that Mingyu goes to the same college as him. But they have different majors.
"Hyung, but why haven't I met you before" Mingyu asked
Wonwoo raised his eyebrows
"Hyung?"
"You're actually a year older than me" Mingyu replied—He then shot a cheeky smile at Wonwoo "So are you going to answer my question?, Its sad that we haven't met before this"
The younger one placed his hands on Wonwoo's from across the table
"Well, I'm an introvert and I don't really hang out around campus." Wonwoo replied nervously—trying not to focus on the warmth on Mingyu's hands.
He looked at his watch trying not to focus on their hands touching.
The watch showed that its already evening.
"Oh, I should get going" He told the younger one while trying to grab his wallet.
This time, The younger one frowned "Hyung, Let me pay, and i'll drive you home too"
Wonwoo looked at Mingyu—He was very serious about this. Eventually he gave in.
Mingyu paid for both the coffees and then drove Wonwoo home, It was a quiet drive. Wonwoo mostly looked outside the windows to observe the colors surrounding him.
The sky was a dark blue and the green trees were rustling because of the wind, The only sorce of light is from the lanterns on the roads and the light from Mingyu's car.
The younger was busy driving and observing the new world too, seeing colors is new to them.

They arrived in front of Wonwoo's apartment door. It was on the fifth floor at the end of the hallway. Before entering Mingyu asked Wonwoo if he could meet him again. Wonwoo reluctantly agreed—exited to meet the younger one again. They exchanged numbers
"I'll promise to text you" Mingyu whispered which made the older one smile.
Wonwoo entered his apartment, The familiar environment made him feel safe—But everything is now fulled of color, Then it hit him. He met his soulmate, Mingyu to be exact. The one who Wonwoo met a few hours again, The one who listened to Wonwoo when he talked, The one who looked at Wonwoo like he hang the stars. It made him feel like home. Wonwoo felt butterflies in his stomach, Maybe Mingyu was his soulmate for a reason.
He opened his phone and texted the groupchat one sentence.

——Three months later——
Wonwoo and Mingyu were hugging on the couch in Wonwoo's apartment, They've been together for two months. Wonwoo is way happy now, Mingyu is literally a walking green flag. They were planning on watching a movie but gave up halfway, Right now Mingyu is cuddling Wonwoo like there is no tomorrow. Suddenly the door opens, His friends walked in. When they saw Mingyu and Wonwoo their faces changed from confused to shock. "What the fuck" Hoshi could only mutter—Jun and Minghao were looking at eachother shocked. Woozi said to Wonwoo "Explain" Wonwoo could only look at Mingyu and whisper a "surprise"
