   Summary

   To Sirius, it started when he was seven and Remus Lupin was his hero. To Remus, it started when he was nineteen and he got this new neighbour, who was gorgeous and irresistible and impossible to figure out. They fell in love with each other, in different ways, at different times. The problem was, obviously, that one of them always knew how the story would end.

   Sirius was a mystery. A riddle. An infuriating clue in a cryptic crossword puzzle Remus just couldn’t stop trying to solve. He was enthralled by it, pulled in by the tide, captured like a little fly in a spider’s web. He couldn’t let it go if he wanted to (he didn’t), if he tried (he wouldn’t), if someone paid him to (there wasn’t enough money in the world). A large part of him barely cared whether this was dangerous or whether he could end up hurt. He just wanted to know.
