Summary
Buck has spent his whole life keeping the people who love him in separate rooms, where none of them can see the full picture and decide he's less than they thought. One afternoon, with the kids at the park, he lets his sister and two of the people who became his parents into the same room on purpose, and tells them everything: the Jeep, the year he doesn't talk about, why he really enlists, and the thing he's only ever told one person.
Part 5 in the series: Always Come Back. Can stand alone but hits harder as a series.
