Till couldn't believe it, his eyes started to water, his legs trembled, unable to hold his weight.The lunch he had happily consumed earlier churned in his stomach, he felt sick. In that moment, Till did what he knew best, he ran, he ran as fast as his trembling legs could take him and didn't look back.
Before he knew it, he was at his front door, he swung the door open and raced upstairs before anyone else could see him. Once inside his room, he threw the letter on the bed and started pacing. Without realizing his hands were in his hair, pulling at the bluish gray locks black mascara and eyeliner runs down his face as he begins to cry.
“How could he?”Till mumbled to himself over and over again, walking in circles around his room.
He looked towards his bed where the letter rested, the letter was given to him by Ivan, his boyfriend of almost two years. Could he even call him his boyfriend anymore? The scene from earlier flashed across his mind. Ivan, his boyfriend mind you, kissing some random girl he’s never seen before. The whole thing was ridiculous.Till could almost laugh, but it wasn't funny.
Ivan had given him the letter at the start of lunch. He handed it to him with an adoring look in his eyes and a stupid smile emphasizing the dimple on his right cheek. He gave Till a kiss on the forehead and said to read the letter right before class, then left. Till held onto the letter all throughout lunch, happily eating while chatting with his friends.
The bell then rang and he opened the letter. It was covered in glitter and hearts drawn all over it in glittering pink ink. It said, “Meet me behind the school at the end of the day♥”. He couldn't help the smile that spread across his face.Till folded the letter and gently placed it in his pocket and went to class. He was giddy all throughout his first class, smiling to himself, kicking his feet and drawing hearts all over his notes, not paying attention to the lesson at all.
When the bell rang signifying the end of the day, he quickly packed up his belongings and practically ran out the classroom. Till ran towards the back of the school, as he turned the corner, he was faced with a horrible scene of Ivan kissing another girl. He couldn't remember what happened after that, all he knew was that he ran all the way home.
Till felt so stupid and dumb for feeling so heartbroken and betrayed, but he couldn't help it. Suddenly there's a knock on his door and then it opened. Till looked up and saw Ivan standing there. He was about to scream at him, tell him to leave, but Ivan stepped forward and grabbed both Till’s hands, clasping them in his own.
“She kissed me!” He shouted with desperation in his eyes.
“She just came out of nowhere, I barely had time to react, please Till you have to believe me, I would never cheat on you.”
Seeing how panicked he looked, Till knew he was telling the truth. He held Ivan’s face and pulled him down for a kiss. Ivan kissed back, holding Till tightly as if he never wanted to let him go.
