Chapter Text
________
3000 years ago, The uchiha began to appear, magical beings with extraordinary powers. No one knew where they came from but they knew they descended from Indra, which is what granted them, not only their abilities, but their wings.
Unlike other clans, the Uchihas were fairies, magical beings who had gorgeous looks and amazing power. Overtime, while the world slowly grew to peace, they remained one, if not, the strongest in the Land of Fire. People were fascinated by them, and nowadays, seeing an Uchiha was quite rare. It is believed that they are beings that grant good luck if you see them..
And Naruto wanted to prove that it was true!
Naruto Uzumaki, an Orphan boy left to his own devices, heard the story from his teacher, Iruka, who had told the class one beautiful evening after a day of learning. Of course, while some students believed it was untrue(mostly Shikamaru and Kiba), everyone else really wanted to know if it was true, that an uchiha really was as pretty as a crystal blue lake, and that they granted good luck.
While everyone went home, Naruto decided to ask Iruka more about the illusive Uchihas.
“Hey Iruka Sensei! I have a quick question” Naruto smiled, running back into the classroom while Iruka was packing up. The teacher looked startled for a moment, more shocked that Naruto was back at school.
“Well whats up, Naruto?”
“Even though an Uchiha was rare, they must exist if people claim to have seen them right?! How else would there be a story about them if they didnt?!”
Staring at Naruto’s bright face, Iruka placed down his books and began to think.
“Well, Naruto, it’s hard to prove if a myth is real, after all, this is coming from humans. People could have made up stories simply for culture, or it could be true. We’ll never really know.”
Naruto began to pout. Screw that! he thought, getting more heated by the second. There’s NO way they don’t exist! Shikamaru may think it’s a dumb story for little kids.. but I know it’s real!
Then he had a thought. Like two braincells shooting electricity to each other.
“Iruka- Sensei! Did the story tell you where to find them?!”
“W-Well, the story said that they live in the valley of summers. They say that the valley is incredibly hot but so beautiful, it’s lined with so many flowers many of which we don’t even know the names of. It is also said that the location of the valley is somewhere in the forest of-“
“BYE IRUKA SENSEI”
Naruto skidded out the door, waving as he ran down the street. Iruka sighed, worried that he’d get lost, after all, he didn’t even tell him which forest the valley was in!
Naruto ran, passing Shikamaru, Choji, and Ino, who were heading home after shopping for some food.
“NARUTO! WHERE ARE YOU GOING??”
Ino yelled out, causing Naruto to slow down.
“I’m going to the forest to go look for some Uchihas!”
“What a drag” Shikamaru yawned. “You know that story is for little kids who love magic. It’s not real Naruto.”
Choji continued to chew on some snacks in the bag, nodding along with Shikamaru.
“Well, I’m going to prove to you it’s true just you wait!”
Naruto stuck his tongue out at Shikamaru before bolting off.
“He’s so going to get himself killed.” Shikamaru groaned.
“Well, I wouldn’t mind if the Uchiha really did exist. I bet their men are kinda cute..”
Ino sighed happily.
“Yeah.. you guys wanna come to my house? I got a new game we can play” Choji said between chews.
“Sure whatever.”

Naruto was tired. REALLY tired. He forgot to pack some food and he’s been out looking for a while. The sun set a long time ago and honestly, he really wished he could pass out onto his bed and not have to worry about passing out onto the dirt.
He looked almost through the entire forest, keeping a sharp eye out for anything unusual.
He continued to walk, sliding in and out of sleep. He was so HUNGRY he could die. Death by starvation was so uncool for a future hokage like himself!
He walked and walked and slipped on a tiny rock, probably because of how tired he was. He could have saved himself, he was a well trained Ninja(or soon to be well trained, after all, he was still a genin in the academy), but he decided to accept his fate, too tired to do anything.
Until he felt the temperature shift. More specifically, the temperature around his head.
Welp.. Naruto thought to himself..I’m dead..My blood is so warm.. Kinda like the sun..
He opened his eyes and noticed that the world around him looked different.
Damn! Heaven looks so cool!
The boy finally picked himself up, and noticed a cut on his hand. He touched it, feeling the blood pool around his fingers.
Ok.. so it definitely isn’t heaven..
He looked around, noticing the beautiful scenery. The trees were flush, the sky shined a clear blue with very little clouds, and the lake was so very glittery. He stared in awe before he heard the laughs of some other children. He moved past some trees and finally found them, clearly invested in their chattering and jokes.
The three kids looked the same(or mostly the same), they all had black hair and dark eyes.. ontop of that, they were all pretty in their own way. Their eyelashes were long and added flair to their deep dark eyes. Naruto admired them for a moment before finally putting two and two together.
Wait… the pretty faces, the beautiful flowers, these definitely aren’t kids i’ve seen before..
This is the Valley of Summers! Those are Uchihas!
Naruto was in such a shock that he stepped on a stick, causing a small noise to ripple through the area. The children stopped giggling and stared towards the bush.
“Did you hear that, Ume” One little boy asked, clutching the sleeve of little Ume.
“I did. Hey, Hiyori, can you go check.” Ume turned towards little Hiyori, who scoffed and crossed her arms.
“Why can’t you do it!”
“If you couldn’t tell, Kaoru is clutching my sleeve and I can’t move.”
“Well Boo Hoo! Just move him off and go look!”
“Shut up Hiyori.”
“MAKE ME.”
The two girls, Hiyori and Ume, began to bicker, completely forgetting their main mission. Naruto almost relaxed before little Kaoru spoke up.
“Um-chan, Yori-Chan… the bu-“
“CHILDREN! It’s time for school!”
All three children looked towards the noise, coming from an adult in the opening before grabbing their stuff and heading back, still forgetting about Naruto in the bush.
The boy sighed a breath of relief. He decided to follow them, curious about what else there was to this valley.
As he followed the 3 little Uchiha, he continued to look around. He noticed the forest was full of animals, mainly birds and butterflies. The orphan boy was so excited, not only to see more, but to finally prove to Shikamaru they existed, that he was right and the top knot was wrong!
He finally passed the trees over the opening, the sun shined in his face for a moment before revealing a little town of traditional houses and a huge lake where he saw many more children running around, clearly playing tag. Others were practicing ninja moves and ahead of him, a group of Uchiha academy students stood together with their teacher waiting for Ume, Kaoru, and Hiyori.
Naruto, the boy he was, got so distracted that he ran into one the kids, pushing them over and causing a slight domino effect. He got up quickly before introducing himself.
“Hello!! I’m Naruto Uzumaki and I’m going to become Hokage! Believe I-“
The girl on the ground, Hiyori by the looks of it, screamed.
“AN OUTSIDER!!”
All the other kids around the small area joined in the screaming, some scattering and others hid behind their teacher, clutching her dress in fear. The boy was confused, he had introduced himself properly..
He guessed people didn’t like him here either.
Before he got sad, the teacher shushed all the screaming children, and, to a surprised Naruto, opened her wings, releasing calming chakra to relax everyone.
Her wings were gorgeous, they were a stunning yellow and orange, looking kind of like a butterflies. Naruto couldn’t believe it..
They really were fairies.
“Alright, alright, children calm down. It’s ok.” she smiled softly, coaxing all the kids back to her side. Once they all returned to her, she looked towards the trespasser, her face suddenly becoming a little more serious.
“You say your name is.. Naruto Uzumaki correct?”
He nodded.
“It’s odd for people, especially someone your age, to be able to break through our protective barrier. I would like you to come with me.”
Naruto felt a little skeptical. He didn’t want to get in trouble! He was just curious..
The teacher noticed his hesitation and soften her face, smiling softly. “It’s quite alright, I won’t hurt you. I’m just curious about how you got in so we must consult our clan head.”
She turned away, her wings catching the sun just right, causing the trees to glow a translucent orange. Naruto swallowed nervously before following, the sudden urge to go back home filled his body quickly.
The walk to the school wasn’t long. She dropped the children before continuing on, heading to the larger house at the head of the small village.
She knocked once before saying:
“Leader.. It is urgent! I would like to speak with you!”
No response.
She knocked again, a bit louder.
“Leader! Someone managed to get through our barrier! Please I would like to speak with you!”
Finally, the handle turned and out came a young boy.
“Prince Itachi.. Where is your father?”
Oh, so Itachi was his name. Naruto had to admit, his beauty was something different from the others. His face was soft and his skin was pale. While he seemed dainty, the boy could tell he carried amazing strength. His eyes, while sharp, carried some softness, a trait that seemed to be carried by his fellow clan members.
And on his back, was a set a stunning black wings. His wings were a different shape then the teachers, raising high above his shoulders. His wings possessed the silhouette of a royal butterfly and were almost 2x the size of his small, slender body. His wings were black and dark red, casting a faint glow onto the teacher and all around the entry way.
“Father was working earlier. I’m actually here to welcome you inside and to tell you he’d be right with you.” he replied softy before moving out of the way, allowing for Naruto and the teacher to pass through.
The house overall wasn’t anything crazy. It was scarcely decorated but it wasn’t at all empty. It was definitely a traditional house through and through. Naruto suddenly felt very nervous, he couldn’t bring himself to move forward, bringing attention to Itachi.
While the Uchiha didn’t say anything, his eyes narrowed slightly, moving past them to the discussion room where his father must be.
“Come along, Naruto. We mustn’t waste time!” The teacher said, ushering him forward. They eventually entered the discussion room where the head of the clan sat ahead of them, staring at some papers while Itachi served him tea.
The clan head didn’t look like anything special, but his wings were clearly larger than Itachis and much thinner. It also had more black than red, which caused him to have a larger shadow.
“Good evening, My lord. I apologize for such short notice.”
The lord looked up, finally putting down his papers and analyzing the two infront of him.
“It’s just that this boy, Naruto Uzumaki, has broken through the barrier. I’m concerned over not only the fact he got in, but our overall safety. If he was able to break through, that would mean anyone could” The teacher spoke softly but sternly.
The clan head nodded before taking a sip of his tea.
“I see.”
He turned his gaze over to Naruto, who stood up straighter and began to sweat. The boy wasn’t known for being quiet, but in the moment he couldn’t bring himself to speak.
“We’ll have some people take a look at him. In the meantime, we will need to strengthen the barrier….”
Naruto began to tune them out as he started playing with the fuzz on his shirt. He wanted to go home really badly, his missed his bed and his ramen. Though life was lonelier back at home, he preferred the familiar environment of home than here. Though, meeting the Uchihas was pretty cool!
When he started to focus again he noticed something in the clan heads shadow. He tried to really stare at it to try and make sense of what he was seeing.
He eventually he realized it was not something, more like someone.
The clan head moved a little, revealing the prettiest person he had ever seen who appeared to be asleep. Maybe prettier than even Sakura whom he had a crush on!
The young Uchiha slowly woke up, rubbing their eyes as they yawned softly. The kid had spiky black hair, and sharp eyes. Their eyes were very large, round, and completely dark, almost like glossy black marbles. They were dressed in a simple dark blue kimono with long sleeves and it extended down to their ankles. They were staring at Naruto, eyes full of curiosity. Naruto felt oddly warm.
Is that what adults meant by ‘Puppy love’?
The little Uchiha grabbed their father’s Kimono and gave it a short tug, drawing his attention from the teacher.
“Father, what’s going on?”
“Sasuke..” So sasuke was their name! “Nothing for you to worry about. Go and see your mother.”
Sasuke nodded before slowly getting up. They gave Naruto one final look before heading out the door.
Naruto followed them with his eyes, only looking away once they were through the door. The boy kind of wanted to follow them.
And that is just what he did.
Within seconds, he bolted out of the room, startling the teacher and the clan head. “NARUTO! Get back here!!” He heard more noise but he was too far away, already in his pursuit of that pretty Uchiha.
He guessed he could stay just a little while longer….
