After the death of Hummer in game. After the his disappearance, no respawn, no news or information. An email was sent but never be seen.
Wifies worried for him to the point he felt so sick. Of course, how could he not? Even though they had met each other for a short time, the interactions between them were just always about and around The Leviathan, never more than that.
Not exactly, in the end. . ., towards the end of that journey, they had asked a little about each other. It started with Hummer, wondering if Wifies often got himself into this kind of situation, and ended with Wifies asking if he did too, and then a small question, he doesn't even understand why he asked, until now, asked if he was the first person Hummer had ever taken to solve the mystery. He still remembers how embarrassed he felt after asking before he could think twice. But he cannot deny the honor he felt after knowing he was the first one.
But the truth was that what they knew about each other was not enough to consider themselves being close that much, to be worried that much like now, like how Wifies feeling right now.
The feeling smolders like a fire that can never be extinguished. It stuck in his head like a knot of hair he could never untangle
He still remembers how he felt after searching for weeks, to find what the Leviathan wants, and besides that is some news about Hummer, but the only thing he ever received after that was the sand, the water of the sea. He never got a chance to go back to that golden castle in the sky, where Wifies wished they had had the chance to admire together.
It led him to a bittersweet feeling. How ironic it is, finding a person even harder and clueless than finding a Legend—The Leviathan, what is even bigger than what they could imagine, or even bigger than Minecraft.
And now, he is back to Hummer's world, the first place they met, not only for the search, but waiting for him. Wifies, doesn't understand why, but something, a feeling deep down in his bones, gave he the hope for something felt so impossible.
Wifies joined the world, again. He doesn't even know what he was expecting. He couldn't help feeling disappointed when he saw that nothing had changed from the last time. Not a single sign belonged to the person who owned this place.
Everything remained just as he remembered, the wheat that hadn't harvested, the sugar cane that grow so high, the boat that still stay in the water, making him feel like it might have rotted from sitting in the water for so long.
After looking around, to burned it into memories. He starts walking to the house, where Hummer lives (Wifies doesn't want to use the word "lived", something inside of he feels so wrong using that). He opens the door, cough because the dust in the air, a sign that no one had lived here for quite time.
After the cough calmed down a bit. He looks around, the bookshelves that were filled with books containing evidence about the Leviathan, shulker box filled with resources for some redstone machines.
He wandered through the bookshelves, opening a few just to find himself staring at the handwriting belonging to the owner of this place. He closed the book, put it back to where it belongs.
He wanders around, find himself stand at the bottom of the stairs, which Wifies guess it led to the second floor, which Wifies assumed Hummer used to rest and live
He caught himself hesitating, of course, how could he not, this place was someone's private space. He feels it is enough only stay here, stay at the house library (He wondered if it could count as one, maybe that didn't even a matter) is enough.
Day after day passed. The house finally got someone to take care of it. Even though he didn't understand why, he stayed here as if it were his base. It feels weird but he can find himself of enjoying a small comfortable feeling this home brought him.
But don't get him wrong, even though he secretly used it as his new home, which he pleads that he only did it because he was waiting for Hummer to come back, and if he joined, this is the first place he will go to.
Little by little, were more things appearing, which belongs to Wifies, a new chests, maps covered in circles and question marks, a bed in the library, books that weren't here from beginning that notes about the new evidences.
Even the scenery around the home had changed. Wheat was cropped, sugar canes were shorter after someone really had cut them down and put in a chest.
Even so, Hummer's things still stayed the same, untouched, it is a respect, of course.
The longer Wifies stay here, the more he feels, see, understand about Hummer.
Whenever he opened a book, there was always a little redstone dust between the pages accidentally left behind after building a machine. Sometimes it is a dried mark of slime, or honey blocks.
While cleaning the base, he sweep the floor, especially the corner. Not only ...he found piles of dust, but redstones and sand from the beach, which he guessed had been blown in by the wind.
Sometimes he find himself watching the beach, the way the ocean changes, how beautiful it is in the sunrise, painting the ocean and the sky with soft shades of yellow. Or warm orange when the sun went downn. He can find himself admire the majesty of nature, of the ocean, when a storm come, the way it got darker, strong wind come, blowing through the tree canopies, make them move like in a wild dance of life.
He can find himself wake in the morning, after a long night staying awake to find the truth. He woke to the warmth of the sunshine, the salty taste of the sea, the smell of the sun in the air. It make something inside he feels so warm, washing away the exhaustion from the night before.
Because he often goes to sleep late, he realized there were never any monsters around. He find out after that, Hummer had set the world to peaceful, so there were no monsters spawning. That made him giggle a little, of course, Hummer would do that, no monsters spawn and he will never have to concern mistakes a drown or guardian as The Leviathan
He can find himself dream about the moment they shared together for the last time. As normal, it has to be considered as a nightmare, but he couldn't. But, besides the regret or bittersweet, there are a strange, complex and unwanted, a small warm of truth, his admiration for the beauty of the ocean before he thought he was going to die, the feeling towards the person stand in front of him, face to face, eye to eye.
It the feeling of a long journey with someone who had become important to you before you even realized it, someone so determined that you can called obsessed to what he believes.
But it lead Wifies to wonder, why, why save he not Hummer? Why choice he? No one can answer, he never can answer. Again, he find himself lay in bed, rest his hand in his forehead, stare at the ceiling, loose in his mind filled with questions that couldn't be answered yet.
