Summary
Lovers Annie and Mikasa plot to take their revenge on Eren. Modern AU.
“What can I get you?” asks the bartender.
“Vodka soda.”
He whisks away Annie’s dirty glasses. Returns with Mikasa’s drink in a tall glass, bubbles fizzing and popping, a sad, floppy lemon wedge adoring the rim. She waits for him to retreat to the other end of the bar.
“I didn’t expect you to come,” Annie says, taunting. “I was sure you got cold feet.”
She stubs out the cigarette. Mikasa’s eyes are drawn to the red lipstick smudge on the filter.
“You know I’m desperate.”
“The plan is flawless. Follow my lead. We’ll be rid of him.”
