Once, more recently than you would think, there was a princess who could shatter the earth and cause gods to tremble. Her name was Diana and she was a child born to the greatest love of all—a mother to a child. Raised outside the realms of mortals, Diana had far greater knowledge than anyone alive. When a dangerous monster attacked the living world, she butted heads with the local government to save the city. It was there that Diana would meet the mortal Barbara.
Barbara was a scholar studying myth and legend who offered her aid to Diana only seeking to learn more. Diana welcomed her with open arms. For any aid was welcome as Diana battled the threats to mortals—tests from the gods.
But the princess had occurred many enemies, one who soon captured Barbara for nefarious schemes.
In the enemy's grasp Barbara was imprisoned with a being who sought great harm. She was able to resist for days but as the hours wore on so did her confidence that Diana would come rescue her. Barbara made a deal with the being, allowing her to escape. But like all deals with higher powers, Barbara slowly descended into madness.
When Diana found her she was almost completely lost. They battled for days before Diana managed to subdue her and feed her blood, returning Barbara to normal. After they were swallowed in bright light, never to be seen again. Legend says you can see them embrace in the stars.
