Summary
Just a few months ago, our mid-thirties protagonist reluctantly moved to Japan from her home country. Life in Osaka is hard — her accommodation is bleak, her professional life exhausting, and money is tight, despite Japan's booming economy. She finds that people are unwelcoming of foreigners, but she builds an unexpected connection with her initially frosty neighbour — the young man who manages a local hostess club.
