So apparently, I'm going to U.A.

Not to be a hero or anything. I'm there to spy.

I am Hayashi Sora. At least, that's what my new ID says. I'm a transfer student from Hokkaido, I've got a perfectly believable face, and I'm about to start my first year at U.A.

New identity, new school. I'm supposed to blend in, gather whatever information I can, and send it back to the League.

I mean it shouldn't be difficult.

It's school.

How bad could it be?

I guess we'll see.

Chapter 1: The Assignment

Notes:

So this is about Sora being a spy at UA. I'll use Sora here, but feel free to use Y/N or Reader. I needed to use a name for the story, so I'm not using Y/N. Most of the story will be written from Sora's POV, with a few chapters from third person. I don't want to explain it too much. I want the story to unravel as you read it. The premise is basically that I'm deployed by the LOV to UA as a transfer student to spy, gather intel, and help the LOV.

Also this is my first fanfic, and I'm really new to the platform so Im still trying to get the formatting right. :<

Chapter Text

“You don't get a say in this. You were sent just for this purpose, so shut up,” Dabi said.

I stared at him. “Uh… when did I object?”

“Can't you just shut that mouth of yours?”

The plan had been in place for weeks now. I was supposed to infiltrate UA as a first-year transfer student. Blend in as a regular student, gather intel, send it back to the League.

Simple.

“You're seriously betting this on that ID?” I asked. “You know their system is crazy.”

Shigaraki was already irritated. “You don't need to worry about those details. That's not your job. Just do what you're assigned.”

“Don't get caught.”

“Yeah, yeah. And if I do?”

Dabi shrugged. “You're on your own.”

“Wow. Touching.”

Then they told me the one thing I'd already expected, they weren't coming to get me if I got caught. Figured. I knew they wouldn't even try. Meh I mean isn't trust a luxury here?

They packed a bag for me: the uniform, the books I'd need, a burner phone, a fake ID, some cash. I looked at the cash for a second, then pushed it back across the table.

“Meh. Don't want the guilt.”

They didn't get what I meant. Not that they cared enough to ask.

I'd been reading through the school books for a few days, hoping I wouldn't feel completely dumb once classes started. It had been years since I'd actually gone to school. But I think the experiments would prolly help, though some of the subjects were new.

“Scissors?”

Someone tossed me a pair.

New school. New name. New face.

Well.

Mostly a new face?

I pulled up a random haircut tutorial and started cutting a few layers, then some face-framing pieces around the front.

I leaned back and studied myself in the mirror.

Huh. Not bad.

The black layers made my jade eyes pop a little more. I turned my head, watching the ends catch the light.

Would he recognize me like this?

“Hah, you should seduce one of the fellow students,” someone said. “Get close. It'll be good for gathering intel.”

“Ew, I’m not doing that.”

I turned back to Shigaraki. “What quirk did you put on the form? Water Emission?”

“Yeah. Of course. What else?”

Yeah. Of course. Guess I was stuck with that one.

Dabi spent the next few minutes running through the rules, sending the intel every night by ten using the burner phone and nothing else. Get rid of any evidence, don't do anything stupid.

Easy enough.

Though, living with these morons, I was starting to wonder if I was the one turning stupid.
