Work Text:
Eri clings tightly to Aizawa's neck, his hand warm and firm where it strokes up and down her back. She still cringes when Recovery Girl's needle pricks her upper arm, Aizawa's soothing murmurs a low drone beneath the upbeat, techno "doctor playlist" Present Mic had connected to her cat-eared headphones.
Recovery Girl pats Eri's head. All done.
Aizawa tips the headphones from her ears, clicking down the volume.
"That's enough of that," he murmurs.
Eri shifts in his arms to watch Recovery Girl poke around her drawers and type something into the computer, the needle nowhere in sight, just like she promised. "Here," Recovery Girl says, handing Eri a red lollipop, "that should ease the jitters, dear."
Eri accepts it, then tucks her face back against Aizawa's neck. "What does ease the jitters mean?" she whispers around the treat.
"To help you feel calmer," he explains, brushing her long hair out of her face. "You were very brave just now."
"My arm hurts."
"I know," he says, adjusting his grip to cradle her closer. "I'm proud of you."
"It's strawberry-flavored," Eri tells him, clacking the lollipop over her back teeth.
"Do you like strawberry?"
Eri closes her eyes. "Yes," she decides. When she opens them, Deku's there, leaning tiredly against the doorway to Recovery Girl's office, his hair and the shoulders of his t-shirt matted down with rain.
"Deku!"
He smiles warmly, rubbing at one eye. "Hi, Eri."
"What brings you?" Recovery Girl asks. "Nothing broken, I trust? You're still forbidden from training, young man. Not that you tend to listen well."
Deku's smile turns sheepish. "Nothing broken," he reports. "Just, um, the stress-" his eyes dart toward Eri, "-thing. That we talked about?"
Recovery Girl softens. Aizawa walks Eri to the end of the room, typing out a message on his phone, but Eri's head swivels to keep her attention on Deku.
"I still can't really, um, sleep, so I was wondering if you had anything that could help?"
Recovery Girl produces another lollipop from her white coat. "I'm not that kind of doctor," she says gently. "I can't prescribe you anything."
Deku clutches the offering regardless.
"After all you've been through, I'm not surprised you're having trouble," she continues. "The thing you need, dear, may just be time."
"Right," Deku says stiffly, "it's just…" He looks toward the window and the pouring rain beyond, eyes foggy and distant. "Ah, nevermind."
Aizawa follows his gaze, brows furrowing in thought.
"Thanks anyway," Deku says.
"Have you given any thought to that therapist I-?"
"Have a nice night, Recovery Girl. Sorry to bother you."
"Midoriya," she says.
"It was nice to see you, Eri. Aizawa-sensei." Deku waves, spinning on his heel to leave the way he came. "Goodnight."
Recovery Girl tuts, watching him go. "Oh, that boy."
"I think he forgot his umbrella," Eri says, listening to the rumble of the summer storm outside.
Aizawa hums, glancing out through window again. "I think so, too."
***
Aizawa catches Midoriya at the entrance of the medical building. He's standing in the open doorway, under the awning that faces UA's sprawling lawn, twisting the hem of his t-shirt in his hands. His hair is starting to grow back but the long scar cutting through his scalp is still visible, harsh where everything else- the bruising, the mumbling, the purple smear of undereye bags- is soft.
"Midoriya."
He startles, obviously having missed their approach.
"A-Aizawa-sensei! And Eri, hello again."
"Hi."
"Midoriya," Aizawa say again, shifting Eri in his arms so the cat-headphones aren't digging into his neck. "Would you like to join us for dinner?"
"Yes!" Eri cheers. "Come for dinner! We're having Fat Gum pasta!"
"…the shell pasta made to look like his face?" Midoriya asks hopefully. "From the food positivity line Ryukyu funded?"
"Yes," Aizawa agrees. He'd been opposed to buying noodles with his coworkers face on them but Mic had insisted, and looking at the shine in Midoriya's tired eyes now, Aizawa's bowled over by how much of a kid he still is. A war hero, yes. The bearer of All Might's imposing legacy. But a child, still. Excited by the prospect of hero-shaped noodles, same as Eri. (Same as Mic.)
"Come along," Aizawa says, handing Midoriya his own umbrella.
Eri is quick to cling onto Midoriya's leg, chattering his ear off on their way to the teacher's accommodation block while Aizawa trails two steps behind, his capture scarf hovering above him like a stormcloud to ward off the rain.
He waits until Eri has bounded off into the house to inform Mic of her success at the doctor's office, Midoriya stepping carefully out of his red shoes, to broach Midoriya's earlier concerns. "Mic knows a thing or two about insomnia," he murmurs. "You should talk to him after dinner."
Midoriya nods, chewing on his lip. "I just...worry about Kacchan. Makes it hard to sleep sometimes. But I know he hates people hovering and I am definitely a hoverer, so..."
"You're welcome here anytime," Aizawa adds, thinking of the storm and the alert he'd gotten from Bakugou's heart monitor. The "all good" text he'd received shortly after. "I'm sure Eri and Shinsou would enjoy your company."
Aizawa leads Midoriya towards the kitchen then, content to have made the offer clear whether he chooses to accept it or not. He's already around the corner when he hears Midoriya's quiet thanks.
It's the least they can do, Aizawa thinks. Him and Mic. A warm meal, a list of coping methods to experiment with, a safe place to go when the dorms get overwhelming.
Aizawa tugs off his prosthetic with a sigh, accepting the light kiss from his husband while Eri and Shinsou discuss what to name their newest kitten- sleeping under Mic's chair. It's a good life, and one he owes in no small part to the bedraggled teenager sitting at his kitchen table with a shy smile.
Aizawa pushes a gentle hand through Midoriya's hair before sitting. "Eat," he murmurs.
Midoriya does. He suggests names for the kitten that somehow all manage to be All Might or Great Explosion Murder God Dynamight-related. Shinsou teases him for it and Midoriya laughs and teases right back, much to Eri's giggling delight.
In fact, Aizawa learns more fun facts about Bakugou over dinner than is strictly necessary.
They name the cat Caffeine.
And the rain has let up by the time Midoriya returns to the dorms.
***
Deku and Present Mic spend a long time talking about Bakugou's heart. Long enough that Eri knows exactly what she has to do.
"Papa?"
"Yes, munchkin?"
"Can I have a sleepover with Deku?"
Present Mic offers her a curious glance. "He was just here last night, but I'm sure he wouldn't mind."
Eri grins, stooping to lift Caffeine, who's been headbutting her ankles.
"I'll ask him to come over after class today," he says. "How's that sound?"
"No!"
Caffeine wriggles free from her grasp, darting through Present Mic's legs to escape. He lowers the temperature of the stovetop and crouches to face her, spatula in hand. They're having omelets this morning. He quirks a brow.
"What's up, kiddo?"
"I just wanted to go over there." Eri gestures vaguely towards the dorms. "With Deku and everybody."
Mic smiles. "Everybody, huh?"
Eri nods. "Jirou and Deku and- and Kacchan, too. And the others."
"Ah," he says knowingly. "Gettin' the band back together? Rock on!" He ruffles her hair, knees popping as he returns to the stove. "I'll have Aizawa run it past the class. Hold tight, Rockstar."
"Okay!"
Internally, Eri cheers. She knows just what to do for Bakugou's heart.
Strawberries make you calmer. Recovery Girl said so.

Katsuki's playing video games in the common room when Aizawa brings the brat over to play. Izuku's up in his room, having left the second the game controllers were pulled out, and he hasn't made a reappearance. Katsuki tries not to focus on that. He watches his character move around the screen, hopping on top of boxes and dodging fireballs while the boss villain gains on him.
"Come on," Sero mutters, eyes focused. He and Katsuki are the only ones left alive. "Fuck! Shit!"
Katsuki's thumb slips. The one on his weaker hand- still freshly free of the sling- and he accidentally puts himself into a bubble. Sero's character dies.
Game Over.
"Fuck!" Katsuki hisses, idly massaging his chest when the stupid fucking monitor clicks up to yellow, just barely. It's not enough to send out an alert but Katsuki still tosses his remote Ashido's way, claiming that he's bored.
He sits on the couch and tries to cool his head by breathing slowly.
Inhale. Exhale.
Inhale. Exhale.
Inhale-
Eri climbs into the seat next to Katsuki, peering into his face with red, unblinking eyes. She reaches into the front pocket of her overalls and pulls out a packet of fruit gummies. She hands the strawberry one to Katsuki.
"…thanks?" he says, skeptically accepting the offering.
She nods, popping the grape one into her own mouth.
Weird kid, Katsuki thinks, slumping into the cushion at his back. She's probably waiting for Izuku to come down, though he has no idea why since that nerd's been spending all his time at Aizawa's house lately playing babysitter. Fucking goody two shoes. Katsuki doesn't even like the video game they plugged in, it's one of Izuku's favorites.
Izuku, who barely even seemed to live here anymore.
"What's got you so sour?" Sero asks, nudging Katsuki's knee.
Katsuki jerks away, mouth twisting. "Nothing. I'm not sour."
"Sorry, would you prefer grumpy?"
Katsuki nudges Sero's controller with his foot, making his character fall off the edge of a mushroom, then stands from the couch. "Fuck it, I'm outta here." Maybe he could bully his way into Izuku's room and take a nap while the nerd did whatever the fuck he's been doing lately instead of spending time with the class.
Ignoring the booing at his back, Katsuki goes to the kitchen first and pours himself a glass of water. Footsteps patter after him but when he turns around there's nobody there.
Well, nobody but the brat hiding poorly beside the refrigerator.
Katsuki frowns.
He takes the long way around the dining room and watches her dive beneath the wooden table when he glances over his shoulder, then strides past the common room in long steps. Jirou's got her eyes on the brat but merely shrugs when Katsuki throws her a look.
At the elevators, Katsuki turns down the hall instead, leaning up against the wall with his arms crossed until Eri darts past, looking up at the big silver doors, searching for him.
"Why are you following me?" Katsuki asks.
Eri jumps, whirling around to face him.
"It's…" she twirls two strands of hair between her fingers, "it's classified."
"Classified, huh?"
Eri nods. "I'm on a mission."
"What mission?"
"A secret mission. So I can't tell you."
"What about Deku? Can you tell him?"
"Nuh-uh, it's one hundred percent secret."
Katsuki hums, staring her down. She dawdles on her socked feet, shifting her weight around, but mostly she's just staring at him like she's waiting for something to happen. Fuck if Katsuki knows what.
He continues to stare.
Eventually, she opens her mouth.
"Deku says you make good food."
"I do," Katsuki says agreeably, narrowing his eyes suspiciously.
She looks at him hopefully.
"Can we have pancakes?"
Katsuki rolls his eyes. Secret mission his ass, kid's just hungry. "Fine, yeah," he says. "Not like anyone else knows how to cook around here."
***
Katsuki makes the pancakes in the shape of cats. Wobbly cats, but cats, nevertheless. When Eri asks him if cats are his favorite animal, he gestures to the t-shirt tucked beneath her overalls.
"Thought they were yours?"
Eri looks at her own shirt, pulling at the pink fabric like she's never seen it before. "Oh. Cats are my second favorite animal but Dad really likes these shirts."
Katsuki switches the spatula to his weaker hand and attempts to flip the pancake- blueberry, because Katsuki is responsible- and watches his arm waver under the weak weight. He lets it flop back into the pan, flipping it easily with his other hand and then massaging his forearm with a grimace.
Eri's hand appears in front of his face, offering him another strawberry gummy.
"I ain't gonna steal all your snacks, brat."
She remains insistent. "It's for you," she says. "To ease the gophers."
Before Katsuki can ask what the hell that's supposed to mean, there's a loud clank from the living room, a whirring shudder, and a distinct lack of humming from the AC. Katsuki hears his classmates groan, talking over each other offering theories for what's wrong with it and how to fix it and how long it would take a repair person to arrive in the mid-August heat.
Katsuki waits thirty seconds for the AC to come back on its own. (It doesn't.) Then says fuck it, sweeping Eri off the countertop and towards the front door, pausing only to turn the stovetop off and put the batter in the fridge, the two wobbly pancakes they'd managed to make up for grabs. He hesitates on the threshold, then fills up two reusable bottles with cold water. He hands her the one that's All Might themed.
"What are we doing?" Eri asks, setting the bottle by her knee in the entranceway to pull on her pastel tennis shoes.
"Finding someplace with AC."
***
Katsuki takes them a few blocks south of UA to a shopping district. Heat lines waver from the concrete but cold air flows out of every open doorway they pass.
Eri clutches her water bottle and gazes with wide eyes at all the people passing by, at the storefronts and food stalls. She reminds Katsuki so much of Izuku with her eyes taking up half her face like that.
They stand off to the side while Katsuki pulls out his phone, glancing at the various stores around them, looking for somewhere a kid might like to hang out. None of the cafes have pancakes on their menu. Katsuki's halfway through typing out a one-star review complaining as much when he glances back at Eri.
She stares back at him with a pair of red, Strawberry Shortcake sunglasses balanced on her nose, the hook still hanging off the bridge of them. There's a rotating display of sunglasses at her back.
Katsuki snorts.
"Do you feel cool?"
Eri nods, widening her stance and crossing her arms, trying and failing to mean mug Katsuki with her chubby little baby face.
"You know what?" Katsuki asks, plucking an orange pair with square frames from the top row. "Why the hell not?"
They move inside to make their purchase and the cashier kindly cuts off the hooks, poorly disguising a laugh when Eri puts on her "Great Explosion Murder God voice" and offers a gruff, "Thanks, extra," while allowing the girl to gently deposit the glasses back over Eri's nose.
Katsuki scoffs, arms crossed.
Eri mimics the sound, belatedly crossing her own arms again.
"This is ridiculous," Katsuki says, already aiming them towards another store he knows his parents did a kid's fashion line with. Eri leaves wearing a pair of knee length jean shorts with a silver chain tied through the belt loops, her t-shirt and overalls swapped for a white top with a neon guitar graphic in shades of pink, purple, and blue, a black cat choker, and her arms covered up to her elbows in rubber band bracelets allegedly shaped like animals that Eri spent a long ten minutes singing the praises of. Katsuki has a green frog and yellow duck on each wrist, respectively. He still thinks the thick black bracelets with silver spikes were the better way to go, but whatever. Free will.
Eri takes a long sip from Izuku's water bottle, then frowns and shakes it. "It's empty."
Katsuki's is, too, sitting in the plastic bag holding Eri's original clothes. He opens the bag so she can drop hers inside.
"Let's head to the konbini, then."
Katsuki's phone buzzes in his pocket. He frowns when it's not about the AC unit.
Aizawa: what have u done w my child
Katsuki flips to his camera app and aims the phone at Eri. "Say cheese."
She throws up peace signs. "Cheese!"
Katsuki: [IMG.png]
Katsuki: kidnapped
The bell above the door jingles when they walk in, cool air wafting over them like a balm. "Can you grab two watter bottles?" Katsuki asks her.
"Yes!" Eri cheers, marching towards the tall drink coolers in the back with purpose. Katsuki follows at a slower pace, stopping completely when he sees Izuku's name printed on a bar of handmade soap in a spinning corner display. Katsuki can't help but grin, taking a picture to send to Izuku.
Katsuki: [IMG.png]
Katsuki: your essence is sandalwood apparently
Katsuki plucks it off the display, one eye on Eri, who's busy debating water bottle brands, and clicks back into his thread with Aizawa.
Aizawa: y
Eri toddles over with two, tall bottles tucked in her arms. Katsuki points the camera at her again, finger poised over the record button. "Hey kid, say 'because you took Deku first'."
Eri grins. "Because you took Deku fucking first!" she crows.
Katsuki barks a laugh, quickly hitting send.
"Who took Deku first?" Eri asks, leaning on her tiptoes to try and see the video. Katsuki crouches down and hits play for her.
"Your dad."
Eri gasps. "No!" she cries. "You can't!"
"Not feeling so rebellious anymore?"
"Take it back!" she commands, shaking his arm anxiously.
"Alright, alright," Katsuki says. He already sent the original so he just aims the camera her way. "Tell him it was fake. Kacchan's a bad influence or whatever."
"It was a fake video," Eri tells the camera seriously, eyes wide and pleading. "It was AI."
Katsuki snickers, then sends it off.
"Look what I found," he tells her, holding out the Deku soap. Eri's quick to set down the water bottles to investigate the soap display, picking them up and holding each one close to her nose.
Izuku: you took Eri to the store??
Izuku: wait kacchan what's your essence !
"Look!" Eri says. "It's Eraserhead!"
"What's his scent?"
Eri takes a long inhale. She furrows her brow, thinking. "The purple plant."
Katsuki flips the bar of soap over.
Lavender.
How ironic.
Izuku: kacchan i have to know!!
Izuku: where are you?
"Look!"
"I'm looking," Katsuki says, sliding his phone away just as she thrusts another bar of soap under his nose.
"It's strawberry! It's for you!"
"It's for Pinky. See?" The soap itself is a deep pink color, surprisingly close to Mina's actual skin tone.
"No, it's for you to have! It's good for you."
Katsuki shoots her an odd look, but piles the soap into his arms regardless. He leans to the side to pluck a basket from its tray and together they start loading soaps into it by the handful. All of Katsuki's friends, for starters, who would get a kick out of it. Three of Deku. Then Eraserhead. Then it just makes sense to grab one for the rest of the class. And maybe another Deku.
Izuku: where are you 👀 just casually wondering haha
Aizawa: i didnt realize bakugou is pronounced AI
Katsuki: is the AC fixed yet?
Aizawa: idk
Aizawa: when will u return my child
Katsuki: when will the AC be fixed?
Eri gasps. "They have Lemillion! Can we get Lemillion, too?"
Katsuki shrugs. "Fuck it. Why not?"
Aizawa: iida says ten minutes
Katsuki: hope you like soap
Izuku: wait i can see you replying to sensei!! rude!
Katsuki: you dont have a casual bone in your body
Izuku: kacchan whats your essence 😫
Katsuki: pineapple
Izuku: this a joke
Izuku: who made these soaps?? do they even know u??? ur essence is NOT pineapple
"Hey, kid. Have you found my soap yet?"
Eri nods. "Yes. You smell like a…you-kill-octopus. I think."
"The fuck?" Katsuki frowns, rifling through the basket. "Eucalyptus," he reads out.
"You-kil-apticus."
"Eu-ca-lyp-tus."
Katsuki's phone buzzes again
Hag: why is the credit card company sending me an alert
Hag: did u buy kids clothes rn?
Hag: katsuki do you have something to tell me 👶
Katsuki: omfg ur so annoying
Katsuki: she needed swag
Katsuki: dont look at my credit card statements
"That's one for everybody!" Eri says, smiling down at their basket. "Wait. Why are there five for Deku?"
Katsuki pokes her forehead. "Mind your business."
She pushes her sunglasses into her hair, eyes wide and pleading. "And you'll keep a strawberry one?"
Katsuki sighs through his nose, unimpressed by her choice for him. Still, he dumps another Pinky into the cart. It's so full that Eri doesn't even try to lift it herself, humming along with the music on the store speakers while Katsuki leads them to the cash register.
Katsuki eyes himself in the little mirror while she starts the long process of handing over each soap one by one for scanning. His hair is a little messy, pores clean, scar raised and textured. The sunglasses look cool as fuck.
What about him screams strawberry?
Ding!
Izuku: is it actually pineapple?
Izuku: kacchan say sike rn
Izuku: kacchan
Katsuki lets Eri swipe his card on the reader, then ruffles her hair as they gather up all their purchases. Both water bottles get refilled, crouching on the warm pavement outside, and a black rubber band that is supposed to be a dog finds its way onto his wrist. Katsuki tosses a purple fish over her horn.
By the time they make it back to the dorms, the AC is running at full speed again and all of his classmates are drenched in sweat, lying on the ground with popsicles and ice packs, generally jealous of Katsuki and Eri's temperature-regulated swag.
Izuku's back downstairs finally, and while Eri's happily doling out everybody's bootleg merch Katsuki lobs the eucalyptus soap at Izuku's stupid head.
He catches it, no Danger Sense needed, huffing at Katsuki with a small smile. Katsuki gets the sense he's going to get a verbal review later with a detailed explanation on whether it truly fits his "essence" or not.
"What're you grinning about?" Sero asks, fanning himself with one of Iida's 'dorm crisis' clipboards.
"Nothing," Katsuki huffs. "Jesus."
Sero chuckles. He knows exactly why Katsuki's grinning, the nosy bastard.
"What happened to her other clothes?" Aizawa asks, materializing at Katsuki's side, lavender soap in hand.
Katsuki hands him the bag. "Safe and accounted for."
Aizawa raises a brow. "And the cursing?"
"Ad libbed." Katsuki grins. "Deep fake."
Aizawa sighs heavily. He's got rubber band bracelets on now, too. "Don't let it happen again."
The common room clears out as it cools off, Jirou teaching Eri some chords on the keyboard in her lap. It's cute, if a bit ear-wrenching. Izuku's investigating everyone's soap scents like a reverse bouncer before they're allowed to go anywhere scribbling in a notebook that must have been stuffed in his back pocket.
Ten minutes and twelve excited renditions of twinkle twinkle little star later, Katsuki has been lulled into a false sense of security. Aizawa isn't pissed about the cursing, the brat is happy and much cooler than before, Izuku is nearby- right in Katsuki's line of sight, muttering wildly to himself about the intersection between personality and scent and color theory at the common room table. Everything is good.
Until it isn't.
Hag: um did you rob a soap factory jesus christ
Hag: actually why is there so much bootleg deku merch in your purchase history?
Hag: LMFAO U BOUGHT A DEKU ONESIE???
Hag: ur father has tears in his eyes hahahaaha
Hag: screenshotting and framing this
Katsuki: FUCK OFF
Katsuki: ITS SOFT
Katsuki: IT WAS A DARE
Hag: it's soft or it was a dare?
Katsuki: it was a dare!!
Hag: uh huh
"Kacchan?" Izuku asks carefully.
Katsuki slams his phone face down on the couch, only cluing into the yellow beep of his heart monitor when Izuku glances at it with worry.
Ah. He thought that was part of Eri's noise.
Izuku takes a step backward, then another, then looks at Katsuki's face and drifts forward like he's on autopilot, one hand going to Katsuki's forehead.
"You're all red. Are you sick? You can't be sick, your heart rate needs to stay below-"
"Izuku," Katsuki says stiffly, batting Izuku's hand away from his burning face.
"We can go to Recovery Girl and-"
"Not sick."
"Well, just to see, because you're really red and-"
"I'm not sick."
Beep! Beep! Beep!
"Maybe she'll know if it's an infection or something. Or- well. Sorry I don't mean to-"
Izuku starts to back away and Katsuki, pushed to the end of his fucking rope with the disappearing act, grabs his shoulders to keep him still.
"But-!" Izuku starts to protest, cringing when Katsuki thunks their foreheads together with more force than was strictly necessary. "Ow, Kacchan."
"Breathe," Katsuki instructs, moving his hands to either side of Izuku's ribs.
Something must register in his oversized brain because Izuku stops trying to walk backwards. Bright red in the face, he holds onto Katsuki's wrists, thumbs on his pulsepoints, and pointedly, slowly, breathes.
Katsuki closes his eyes to follow the rhythm, Izuku's eyes too big and green and there to focus.
Inhale. Exhale.
Dull pain radiates from Katsuki's forehead where they're pressed together.
Inhale. Exhale.
Izuku's hands are big and warm around his wrists, his scars a little rougher than the rest of his skin.
Inhale.
Izuku's skin is warm, too, even through his tacky t-shirt, ribs expanding beneath his sweaty palms.
Exhale.
Izuku's essence isn't sandalwood. And Katsuki's isn't eucalyptus. It's that shitty bubblegum scent from the 2-in-1 All Might kids soap they used obsessively as brats, each of them deciding in their growing hearts to follow in the man's massive footsteps, torn apart and then brought together again, staying up late into the night as teenage war vets to watch old reruns when sleep is too difficult to chase. It's easier, together. So much of their lives are built around the idea of 2-in-1: two hearts, two dreams, chasing each other around in one big circle.
Until Izuku got jittery and started walking backwards. It, perhaps embarrassingly, has only now occurred to Katsuki that every step backward was preceded by a bright, yellow, beep.
Katsuki pushes their heads together even more harshly. The monitor has been green for a while.
"Do you get it now?" he asks, peeling his eyes open.
"Get what?" Izuku says.
Katsuki rolls his eyes, rearing back to smooth his thumb over the red imprint on Izuku's forehead.
Izuku looks lost.
Katsuki leans forward, presses an impulsive kiss to the mark.
Izuku freezes, eyes wide and face steadily reddening under Katsuki's gaze until his freckles have all but disappeared. He looks like a fucking strawberry.
"I-! But I…but I thought-! You hate it when people hover!"
Katsuki smirks. He'll give the dork a minute to process. Then maybe they can talk.
Two peas in one fucking pod.
"You're not people," he says. Then, "C'mon pipsqueak," Katsuki calls out. "I promised you pancakes."
Eri crashes her fingers against the keyboard. "Yes!"
