Summary
Something is wrong with Shane Hollander.
Ever since they spent their summer in rut at the cottage, the bite on his neck hasn't healed, and he's been in a funk. Almost like rejection sickness, but not quite. He knows, logically, that a bond can't form between two alphas, but it feels like his body is mourning Ilya returning to Boston even more than Shane is.
During the Boston/ Montreal pre-season match, when a hard hit sends him into the boards, something in his body shakes loose and begins a process neither him nor Ilya ever saw coming.
