_~Tsukasa’s POV~_
Tsukasa gently tapped on the door, a rhythmic pattern that immediately caught Rui’s attention. He sat up from his cluttered desk, abandoning the mechanical work in progress as he opened the door to his bedroom, or the garage his parents let him sleep in. He greeted him with a warm smile and motioned towards his bed.
“I’m working on a little machine for our show, you can watch something until I’m finished. Sorry.” He was quickly shut up by a small peck on the lips from Tsukasa.
“It’s okay.” He walked over to the bed and set his bag next to it before crawling onto the soft mattress. He enveloped himself in the fluffy blankets and laid his head on a pillow. Pulling the blanket over his face, he recalled the day he had at school. Whispers as he passed down halls, the scoldings of his teachers, he even forgot to pack lunch! His stomach quietly growled as a reminder of his forgetfulness. The day at school was bad. He felt so more…sensitive today. The whispering of students usually didn’t bother him, but today he cried in a stairwell during lunch because of it. He deemed himself disgustingly vulnerable. He reached out to a familiar little clownfish plush, one of the many plushies that lined Rui’s bed, and hugged it tight against his chest. Tsukasa snuggled his nose into the soft purple patterned blanket. He felt so small and fuzzy. He wanted to be babied. God…he’s being so selfish. Rui was working right now and it’s not like he can just interrupt him! Small beads of sadness dewed at the edges of his eyes. He didn’t even try to wipe them away, instead just quietly sniffled into the blanket, kicking his knees to his chest.
_-Rui’s POV-_
Twisting and turning, fixing and replacing parts of the small machine was never too hard. It was more of a routine to him. He should probably hurry up with this so he could spend more time with his Tsukasa. His attention to the machine was adverted as a small sniffle was heard from behind him. He turned his head towards his bed. Tsukasa was snuggled into his blankets, cuddling his small clownfish plushie. Is he crying?
“Hm?” Rui hummed in confusion, getting up from his desk and carefully walking towards his bed.
“Tsukasa?” He called out, sitting on the edge of the bed. Another small sniffle came from the yellow haired man. Rui’s expression softened as he ran a hand through his hair. Tsukasa looked over to Rui, tears almost spilling down his cheeks. He looked younger…His features were soft, eyes more widened, his lip curled into a small pout. Ah, that’s what it is, he’s regressed.
“Oh my little star…” He said, reaching to hold the younger in his arms. Rui positioned them both onto his bed, his back against a pillow as he held Tsukasa in his lap.
“Shhh…” Tsukasa curled up against Rui’s chest and chewing on his sleeve. He chuckled.
“Little one?” Rui asked. Tsukasa looked up at him.
“How old are you right now hmm?” He hummed, playing with the strands of his hair. Tsukasa mumbled something incoherent, slowly he held up three fingers.
“Aww..so small…” He mumbled, holding the boy in his arms. He babbled, nibbling on Rui’s hoodie sleeve. Rui quickly took Tsukasa’s bag from the floor and went for the back pocket, grabbing the pacifier he had on him.
“Here’s your paci.” He offered him a small pacifier. It was his favorite one! It was a soft purple with little yellow stars. Tsukasa gladly took the pacifier from his hands and popped it into his mouth, softly suckling on it as he leaned his head back onto Rui’s chest. Rui grabbed one of his many plushies and placed them around them, creating a small barrier of plushies. That’s how Tsukasa liked it when he regressed, he felt comforted by it, but he seemed to tired to notice. His eyes were half opened and he nodded off pretty quickly.
Rui smiled, looking down at the sleepy boy.
“Sweet dreams little one.”
