Chapter Text
Avery couldn’t believe his eyes. The D3rlord that he thought was dead is alive. Derek stood there looking at Avery through his foggy glasses in the rainy night. He was outside Avery’s dorm with boxes and bags; It seems like Derek is Avery’s new roommate. He smiled softly at Avery, the type of smile that you would remember for years.
Avery finally broke the silence and asked “You’re alive?”
“Yes I am Avery.” Derek replied.
Avery welcomed Derek in the room, Derek put down his boxes of things in the room that Avery mostly abandoned. It wasn’t quite the most comfortable dorm but it was still decent.
They talked for a bit as Avery asked questions one by one about Derek, the king and how he was still alive.
“Well, it’s complicated and I don’t even think I know myself. My head still hurts sometimes but I think it’ll get better.” Derek replies.
“And it’s late at night now, we should go sleep. Good night Avery.”
Avery blurted out “Good night Derek.” Before Derek could head to bed and rest. Derek smiled softly at Avery before closing the door behind him.
Avery slumped back to bed but he couldn’t sleep.
He stared at the ceiling for a long time; he still had many more questions to ask Derek.
The rain poured while Avery questioned himself.
“Is this all a dream?? No, it can’t be a dream, Derek looks real and feels real.
Fuck, I’m over thinking it. I should sleep now.”
Avery’s eyes were tired so he rested himself. Today was a very long day and he felt like he needed this.
No doomscrolling until 3am for him now ig.
