Batgirl slides the window open, gesturing for Spoiler to go first. Spoiler crawls through gingerly, hand clutching her ribs she clears the landing. Pain practically radiating of of Spoiler from her hit. The window shuts behind her as Spoiler pulls her mask off shaking loose her curls in a way that makes Batgirl's heart flutter.
She pulled out a med-kit, handing the bruise cream to the Steph before pulling off her own mask. Steph slathered it around the purple markings around her eye with a hiss. "I can't go home like this," she tells Cass, biting at her lip. "Do you think I could stay here?"
"Yes," Cass says.
"Great! I can sleep on the couch!"
"Don't have one."
"I guess I could sleep on the floor," Steph says grimacing. Displeased but willing.
"We could share," she offers hesitantly. She's never shared her bed but Cass also never had friends.
"It'd be like a sleepover!" Steph cheers.
They quickly shower and change into pajamas. Cass crawls under the covers holding them up for Steph to join her. She settles in close enough that Cass can feel the heat radiating from her body but too far to touch. Steph smells like her, she notes blankly. Cass' heart is racing like she's fighting against an invisible enemy.
"Got any secrets to share?" Steph grins as she turns to face Cass. Their noses are nearly touching.
"No."
"Right, forgot who I was talking to. Good night"
"Good night," she says, heart still hammering.
