Work Text:

You sat on the edge of Vale's bed, wearing her silk pajamas, brushing your hair with a brush she'd lent you. She was sitting up against the headboard, glasses on, reading a book. Something about right now felt too peaceful. She fucked you in the shower, and then she dried you off, gave you her clothes, and was going to let you sleep in her bed next to her. You would only have been able to dream of something like this before, but now that it was a reality, you felt off. Noticing the way you were looking at her, she closed her book and took off her glasses.

"Come here Puppy," she said softly.

"But, my hair's still wet," you tried to argue.

"I let you fuck me in this bed. I don't care if your hair's wet."

Well, she made a convincing argument, so you finished brushing your hair and put the brush on top of her dresser. You got in bed and curled up next to her, laying your head on her chest. Her hand touched your head, and she gently began to massage your scalp with her fingertips.

"What's wrong baby?" she asked, her voice barely above a whisper.

"Nothing's wrong, I'm fine," you grumbled into her chest.

"You're really bad at lying darling, you know that?"

You sighed, putting one of your hands on her chest. "I don't really know how I feel right now," you said honestly.

"That's okay," she assured, "do you want to talk to me about it?"

You didn't respond for a little bit, just letting yourself listen to the beating heart underneath you. After enough time had passed for your emotions to settle a little, you decided to speak up again.

"I just feel, insecure," you admitted. "I feel like an imposter right now."

Her hand moved from your hair to your back, and she kissed the top of your head. "Thank you for telling me. I'm sorry Baby."

You didn't say anything, just letting Vale rub your back soothingly.

"There's nothing to be insecure about. You're beautiful, you know that? I feel so lucky to have you in my bed right now."

That made you smile. You weren't sure if you really believed that, but it made you feel better nonetheless.

"Really? You like me in your bed?"

"Of course," she lit up. "I mean, look at the way you ate me out. Jesus Christ, I haven't had an orgasm like that since..." she trailed off. Her hand on your back stilled for a moment. "Nevermind," she said, rubbing your back again.

"I'm sorry," you whispered. It hurt you to think of her with someone else, but by the way she talked about it you could tell that she was hurt more than you.

"Don't be, don't worry about it," she shrugged it off. "We're here now, that's all that matters."

You yawned, and you felt her chest underneath you vibrate as she chuckled. You felt her move a bit as you she turned the lamp off, and you readjusted yourself on her body once she laid down on the bed.

"Go to sleep Puppy. I'll be here when you wake up."

You sighed happily as she kissed the top of your head, letting your eyes close and your body drift to sleep.

KNOCK! KNOCK! KNOCK!

You and Vale both jolted up from the bed, Vale pressing a finger to your lips to silence you.

"VALENTINA I KNOW YOU'RE IN THERE!" the voice from the other side of the door bellowed. You both looked at each other. Diana. Vale cupped her hands around her mouth and whispered in your ear.

"I'm so sorry but she can't know, get in the closet quietly."

You nodded, trying to get out of bed as delicately as you could and tiptoe to her open closet. You closed the door as quietly as you could and curled yourself into a ball as you sat in the corner of the dark closet.

"Jesus Christ Diana, what the hell are you doing?" You heard Vale say after hearing the door open.

"Do you want to explain why I found these in the living room?" You were waiting to hear if Vale would respond but she didn't. "Were you fucking someone in the living room or something?"

"What the fuck Diana! Why would you ever accuse me of that?"

"You totally fucked someone here last night. Oh my god, it was that girl wasn't it?"

"You're crazy, stop making up stupid stories."

"It was that girl! Her backpack was in the living room too. She didn't even open it did she?"

"Diana. I am not having this conversation with you this early in the morning."

"It's not that early, it's 7:30."

"That's early!"

You covered your hands with your mouth to prevent yourself making any further noise as a sound halfway in between an exhale and a chuckle left your lips.

"So where are you hiding her? Don't tell me she's in the closet."

"Diana-"

"Oh my God. She is in the closet."

You heard two sets of footsteps walking towards the closet, and you tried to push yourself further back into the corner. The closet door swung open and you saw Diana holding Vale's clothes, with Vale standing behind her mouthing an I'm sorry. Diana looked at you in shock and dropped the clothes she was holding on the floor.

"Oh my God! Hi! Get out of there, I can't believe Vale made you hide in here!"

She extended her hand out, and you took it awkwardly, standing up and making it out of the closet.

"Hi! I'm Diana. I'm so sorry if I was a bit cold to you last night, I promise I'm not that mean I just have a bad resting bitch face and my roommate," she said looking over her shoulder, "usually tells me if she's having a guest spend the night." She must've seen the discomfort on your face, because she started again. "Oh, no. No, not in that way! She has her friends sleep over sometimes, but she tells me every time. It's just common courtesy you know."

You just stood there awkwardly, not knowing what to say.

"But I'm not judging you two! I'm not homophobic or anything, I have a lot of gay friends." You tried not to visibly cringe when she said that. "I was just surprised because she hasn't had anyone over like that since-"

"Diana, don't you have an 8 am class to attend?" Vale interjected.

"It's Saturday-"

"I don't care get out of my room," she gritted out, pushing Diana towards the door with her own two hands.

"Oh, bye! Wait, what's your na-"

The door closed before she could finish her sentence. Vale ran her perfectly manicured hands through her thick beautiful hair.

"I'm sorry about her, she's annoying-"

"Bubbly," you said at the same time.

"Yeah, you could say that."

"I thought you guys were friends," you said, a little defeated. You couldn't imagine speaking about your own friends, if you had any, in that way.

"No, we are. Don't get me wrong, we've been friends since high school actually. I love her, she can just be a lot."

"Oh, I forgot you were so nonchalant. You'd rather pin girls up against bathroom walls instead of talking," you tried to joke.

But Vale had a serious look in her eyes, and she was stepping towards you, and you stepped backward until you hit the wall. You felt like you were doing a lot of that recently.

"I can pin girls up against bedroom walls too, you know," she said, putting one hand on the wall next to your hand and touching your face with the other hand.

"Oh, um," you swallowed nervously. "Um, I should actually probably go now, thanks for letting me stay over!" you said, pushing past her and trying to make it to the door.

"Wait," she said, her voice low and deep. You turned around and looked at her sheepishly. "You're still wearing my pajamas."

You looked down at the silk fabric you were wearing.

"Oh, you're right, I'm sorry. I'll change into my own clothes in the bathroom," you said walking over to her desk where your clothes were folded neatly on her chair.

"Why go to the bathroom? You can change here," she said callously.

"Oh, um," you tried to stall.

"I'm kidding!" she said, starting to laugh. Her expression softened up. "I'm sorry, I really didn't mean to make you feel like you were trapped in here. Of course you can change in the bathroom if you'd be more comfortable there."

You chuckled, awkwardly, grabbing your clothes and starting to walk towards the door.

"You look like you're in a hurry, sorry for trying to make you stay longer."

"No, you're totally fine. I just have a lot of things to do today," you walked past her, trying to sound confident, hoping she wouldn't catch your bluff.

"I get it, busy schedule. It's just a shame it has to be today, because I was going to ask you if you wanted to go downtown to get breakfast or something, but if you're busy, I totally understand."

You turned around, seeing Vale smirk at you as if you were a fish that had just gotten caught on her line.

"Oh, it's Saturday! I thought it was Sunday. I got mixed up; I'm busy tomorrow. Sunday. Not today, Saturday," you tried to laugh it off. Vale kept walking closer to you, but you stood in place, not wanting to get pressed up against a hard surface yet again. It didn't bother her though. She just got as close to you as possible and wrapped her arm around your waist.

"You're so cute when you try to lie, you know that?"

You blushed. "Am I really that bad at lying?"

Her hard exterior cracked, and all she did was laugh. "Yes, you're that bad at lying. I don't think you could lie even if you got paid for it."

You huffed and rolled your eyes. "Are we gonna get breakfast or what?" you asked impatiently.

"Don't give me an attitude, little girl," she scolded.

"What are you gonna do about it, Mommy?" you teased.

"You can go get breakfast at the dining hall by yourself," she said walking away.

"No," you whined, "I was just kidding."

She laughed at your desperation, sitting down and leaning back with her hands on the bed.

"I know kiddo, go get dressed," she smiled.

You both got dressed, deciding for yourself that you wanted to stay in the bedroom instead of the bathroom down the hall. She gave you her clothes to wear, just underwear and a simple t-shirt and a pair of shorts, reminding you that you fucked her with your clothes on and probably got sweat and cum on it. You turned your back to her, worried you might beg her to fuck you again if you had to see the way she was looking at you. Once you were all dressed, she grabbed her car keys and her purse and you headed out of her room.

"Diana did you want to join us downtown for breakfast?" she asked.

"Oh, no thank you. My friends are coming over soon, just to let you know. Common courtesy."

Vale rolled her eyes.

"Okay, have fun then."

"You too!"

Vale reached for the door knob, intending to open it-

"Wait! Um, Vale's friend?"

You stopped for a moment, then turned around, realizing she was talking to you. Vale's friend. Were you her friend?

"Your backpack," she said, pointing to the floor in front of the couch.

"Oh, yeah, thanks," you said, walking over to the couch and slinging your backpack over your shoulders.

"Before you go, what's your name?"

"Oh," you paused, surprised. You told her your name, and she smiled.

"It's nice to meet you! Come over anytime, just make sure Vale lets me know."

"Don't worry, I'll make sure she learns common courtesy."

You both chuckled.

"Okay, I won't hold you hostage any longer."

"Thanks Diana," you smiled at her.

You finally left the dorm, following Vale out to her car in the parking lot.

"Are you okay?" you asked Vale, underneath the sun that was starting to get brighter.

"Yeah, I'm fine."

She was lying as well as you could, but you didn't want to push further.

"Okay. Just making sure Mommy," you said, making sure the last word lingered on your tongue more than it needed to.

She didn't respond, so you thought she must've not heard you. You made it to her car, a black jeep wrangler. You got into the passenger's seat while she got into the driver's side. She locked the doors and started the engine.

"I heard what you said in the parking lot. Don't call me that unless you want me to fuck you in the backseat," she said, shifting the gear into drive.
