I love you I’m sorry

Summary:

I love you I’m sorry by Garcia Adams.

Bucky is heart broken over Sam. That does change by the end.

Notes:

I’m sorry this is short. Also, I promise I’m ok. Don’t judge what I listen to.

Work Text:

Yelena turns the tv off from where I’m watching Sam as captian America save yet another life.

“You need to get over him. You never dated and whatever happened happened Six months ago,”she informs me. Ignoring the glare I’m currently giving her.

“I’m fine,”

She rolls her eyes. “Yeah right. That’s why you were staring dreamily at the tv. You could text him. Smooth things over,”

“He blocked me,” she winches. “I brought it on myself,”

“Well, you’re related to a brick wall. He can’t blame you for that,”

I shrug, “well he did,” she sits next to me.

“I Have an idea,” and then she’s turning the tv back on and going to a cartoon channel.

“Cartoons?”

She shrugs. “They make me feel better,” and then she’s pulling her feet up on the couch and leaning into me. I wrap an arm around her.

Two months later I’m on a boat under cover with John Walker. I don’t know what I did to deserve this. Ok I do know. But that’s not the point.

“Are you sure this is a good idea?” He asks.

“Nope,” I respond as we get up on top. The stars shinning in the night sky.

And then captian America himself comes out of the sky and takles me. “What the hell, Sam?” I whisper yell at him.

“Bucky?” He responds with.

“No, it’s the Easter bunny. Yes Sam it’s me,”

“I can see that,” I can feel his breath fan across my face and I can’t think. I can only think of one thing other then the fact that I rejected him when I really wanted to say yes. And maybe this is a bad time.

Scratch that it’s definitely a bad time. But maybe I’d been around Steve too long and his idoiotness had worn off on me at some point. I lean up and capture his lips against mine. And then there’s hun fire and John yelling at us to stop making out.

Sam rolls off of me and I immediately get to my feet. He does the same and raises His sheild so we’re both behind it while John is ducking behind some crates. “So you kiss random people now?” He asks.

“Only you. When you asked me out I did want to say yes, but figured you’d leave,”

“You know I don’t leave people,” he responds.

“So you would be good going out after this?” I ask him.

“Will you two stop flirting?” Walker asks.

“Shut up!” Me and Sam both yell in unison.

“Yeah, I’d like that,” and then we’re charging forward as if nothing ever changed.
