“Yukari!” Yukari’s purple eyes turned as she turned her purple hair flowed.
Mio Aizawa caught up to her, as they were walking into the school. Yukari and Mio went into the school…
Meanwhile, at TAI Tech…
Yukari’s mother, Hinamari, was programming, trying to finish the final code her husband was trying to finish before his untimely death. “Mrs Takahashi,” Hinamari turned. “Yes?” “W-We found something of Mr Takahashi’s…”The box was placed gently on the desk before the employee left. Hinamari opened the box, noticing a deck of Duel Monster Cards. Hinamari looked at the main deck. “Genesis-Eyes Dragon?” Next to the deck was the latest prototype of the duel disk system.

That night, Yukari got home. “I’m home!” Yukari shouted, taking her shoes off at the door before walking to the kitchen. “Ah, Yukari… welcome.” Hinamari said, washing the dish she used for supper. “Is everything okay Mom?” Yukari asked, her hand reaching out to her Mother’s shoulder.
“...I got something for you, it was your fathers last thing… supposedly…”
Hinamari patted Yukari’s hand and grabbed her hand, bringing her into the dining room where the box sat on the table.
Yukari grabbed the box and opened it. “M-Mom…”
“I know…I want you to start having fun, I don’t want you to keep holding back…”
Yukari’s eyes glowed with happiness as she grabbed the Duel Disk Dual Link system and placed it on her wrist.
“DNA Scanning… Yukari Takahashi, confirmed…”
Hinamari and Yukari were stunned, confused even.
D-Did dad built this just for me?
Yukari asked, as she reached for the cards, grabbing them and putting them into the Duel Disk deck slot.
“Deck confirmed.” The deck slot closed and an augmented reality duel disk appeared, as the deck shuffled and spit out five cards. “So cool!”
The next day.
It was Saturday, a Local tournament was held at the local card shop. Yukari walked up and walked inside. “Yukari?!” Mio asked, as she ran up. “What are you doing here, won’t your mother kill you if she saw you here?!” Mio asked.
“No, she was the one who recommended me to come here…”
Yukari paid the entry fee and was given a letter, ‘B’.
“I hope you know what you're doing…”
The competitors went out back where the duel field was. “Okay, May Duelist A and Duelist B come to the field.”
Renji Kurogane went to one side, Yukari went to the other side. “A newbie? Against the world’s champion!!” Renji laughed. Yukari inhaled, and exhaled. “Are you going to be friendly about this… Or do I need to beat you!”
Yukari smirked.
“Load your decks!”
Yukari and Renji loaded their decks into the duel disks.
“Deck Recongized…” Renji’s disk said.
“Deck Confirmed” Yukari’s disk said.
“Shuffling Decks…”
“Decks Shuffled.”
“Let’s Duel!”
Renji’s duel disk opened while Yukari's augmented disk appeared, five cards sprouting from their disk.

“I’ll go first, by using Abyss Magic apprentice!”

“I’ll activate the Abyss Magic Apprentice effect! Allowing me to special summon an Abyss Magic monster from my deck level 4 or lower!”
“Come forth, Abyss Magic Cleric!”

“Abyss Magic Cleric’s effect activates! Which allows me to add to my hand, Abyss Magic Tower! Which I activate the continuous spell Abyss Magic Tower.”
“Each time an Abyss Magic Monster is summoned, I can place an Abyss-Counter on the card.”
“Now I FILL THE OVERLAY NETWORK, with Abyss Magic Apprentice and Abyss Magic Cleric!”
“From the depths of the Abyss, with the power of the Abyss Gods, come forth ABYSS MAGICIAN!”

Genesis-Eyes Knight turns into 3 green circles before circling Genesis-Eyes Hope Dragon.

The light shot into the air, as Genesis-Eyes Dragon claws his way out of the shining beam of Light.

Abyss Magician is destroyed.

Yukari smirked, as she flipped a face down trap. “I activate my trap,”
“GENESIS SAVIOR!” Yukari shouts as the trapcard appears on the field.
“Now allowing me to send from my deck to the grave, Genesis-Eyes Wyvern, Genesis-Eyes Dragon is not destroyed!”

“I draw!” Yukari draws a card.
Yukari looked over the two cards in her hands. Yukari smirked. “I activate the spell, SHINING GENESIS!”
Everyone’s eyes widened.
“This spell allows me to draw until I have six cards, and if any of them are a Genesis-Eyes monster, I can special summon them.”
Five cards are drawn.
“Oh look, I can special summon 3 of them.”

The Overlay network explodes.
“Come forth, Genesis-Eyes Phantom Dragon!”
