Summary
Uzumaki Naruto found his first pokemon discarded in a forest, trapped in its pokeball and forgotten by its previous master. Or, perhaps, lost. Either way, the lonely creature resonates with him. He takes it upon himself to adopt the pokemon and spends the next thirteen years climbing the ranks of pokemon masters in local and national championships.
Uchiha Sasuke received his first pokemon at ten years old, the same one given to every member of the Uchiha clan when they come of age. He's had access to the best instruction money can buy, and is expected to become an elite pokemon master just like the rest of his family. He plays his part, but it's challenged by every encounter with a blond nobody and his collection of unusual pokemon.
Naruto hates that Sasuke looks down on him. Sasuke hates that Naruto doesn't look at him at all.
