(opening shot of Emiliya Hollander-Rozanova in a Centaurs t-shirt and shorts standing next to Anya, holding her leash and grinning. The dog thumps her tail excitedly and tilts her head at the camera. A microphone is clipped to Emiliya’s shirt. On-screen caption reads “we put a microphone on our two-year-old to hear her conversation with our dog” 👧🏼🐶)
(cut to Ilya’s POV as the family walks down a quiet suburban street, approaching a corner. Shane, slightly ahead of Ilya and holding the end of Anya’s leash, calls out to Emi, who is holding onto the leash closer to Anya’s collar. Captions and emojis appear on-screen to indicate who is speaking and in what language. English translations appear next to the original language.)
🧑🏻🇬🇧: Stop at the corner!
👧🏼🇬🇧: Ya-ya, stoooop! *she skids to a stop at the corner, Anya slowing gently beside her and sitting obediently by the curb*
🧑🏻🇬🇧: Look both ways, Emi!
(Emi takes hold of one of Anya’s floppy ears as she carefully peers down the road in both directions)
👧🏼🇫🇷: Pas de voitures en vue, Daddy, on peut y aller! [No cars coming, Daddy, we can go!]
🧑🏻🇫🇷: Allons-y! [Let’s go!]
(the family crosses the street, Emiliya still clinging onto Anya’s ear for safety. Ilya takes hold of her free hand while continuing to hold his phone and record with the other.)
(cut to the entrance of a local park. They stop at a water fountain that has a spout near the ground for dogs to use. Anya is lapping up the water as it flows, and Emi leans in to do the same, trying to wrap her lips directly around the spout.)
🧑🏻🇬🇧: *panicked* No, no, no, Emi, not in your mouth! *he pulls the toddler back and she immediately screeches with displeasure before the camera cuts again*
(the group begins to walk toward the playground, Emi once again clinging to the leash. She stops abruptly and grabs Anya’s head, angling it awkwardly towards the sky.)
👧🏼🇷🇺: Смотри, Аня, это луна! Привет, луна! [Look, Anya, it’s the moon! Hi, moon!]
(the camera zooms in on Anya’s displeased yet patient face before Emiliya releases her grip, the child’s attention moving to a squirrel sitting a few feet ahead of them on the path. She toddles toward the creature but it bolts, and at the same time Emiliya trips and falls down. Shane starts to rush towards her, but she springs to her feet with a gigantic grin on her face.)
👧🏼🇬🇧: I okay!
(cut to Emi running at top speed towards the swing set, emitting a high-pitched scream of excitement that Ilya chooses to illustrate with eagle emojis)
👧🏼: 🦅🦅🦅
(cut to Ilya’s POV as he watches Shane push Emiliya on the swing. Anya lounges nearby, not taking her eyes off the toddler.)
🧑🏻🇬🇧: Emi, who do you love more? Daddy or Anya?
👧🏼🇬🇧: *without hesitation* Ya-ya!
*Vine boom sound effect*
🧑🏼🇬🇧: Honestly, Shane, you should’ve seen that one coming.
(Ilya, seconds later, makes the exact same mistake.)
🧑🏼🇷🇺: Эмилия, кто красивее: папа или Аня? [Emiliya, who is prettier? Papa or Anya?]
👧🏼🇷🇺: *again, with zero hesitation* Аня! [Anya!]
*Vine boom sound effect again, louder this time*
🧑🏼🇷🇺: *exaggeratedly clutching at his heart* Я ранен. Шейн, позаботься о том, чтобы меня похоронили как подобает, — мне не пережить этого горя. [I am wounded. Shane, see to it that I am given a proper burial—I will not survive this heartbreak.]
👧🏼🇷🇺: *giggling and kicking her feet* Папа такой смешной! [Papa’s so silly!]
🧑🏼🇷🇺: Я тебя не виню, мой ангел. Аня — самая красивая собака во всей Канаде. Мне с ней не тягаться. [I don't blame you, my angel. Anya is the most beautiful dog in all of Canada. I can't compete with her.]
(cut to a bit later, Ilya now holds Anya’s leash as Shane carries Emiliya on his shoulders. She is clutching two fistfuls of his hair.)
👧🏼🇬🇧: Go, Daddy horsey, goooo! Faster, faster!
🧑🏻🇬🇧: Hang on tight! *adjusts his grip on Emi’s legs to make sure she’s secure before breaking into a jog, the toddler letting out a joyful squeal. Anya starts to run alongside Shane, which in turn forces Ilya to jog too*
👧🏼: 🦅🦅🦅
🧑🏻🇬🇧: Ow! Emi, baby, you're pulling Daddy's hair too hard!
🧑🏼🇬🇧: Pretty sure horses do not speak English, lyubimyy!
(Shane holds his hand behind him, out of Emi’s line of sight, and flips Ilya off)
🧑🏻🐴: …..neigh.
(the video ends with a shot of Anya and Emiliya curled up together on Emiliya’s bed, fast asleep after their eventful day out together.)
