Haikaveh play 7 minutes in heaven!
He noticed Alhaitham’s teal eyes were dilating while their eyes met. As piercing as the rays of sunlight through the stained glass of their shared house, or the dappled light that filtered through the verdant leaves on the great Sumeru tree. The same eyes he’d caught wandering to him when Kaveh was deep in thought… Back when things were simpler in the Akademiya, before their connection had soured, when they could sit together on the roof of the House of Daena and study for hours and hours.
“I’d almost forgotten how pretty your eyes were.” Kaveh thought to himself.
Then he realized the thought had actually left his mouth. Kaveh cursed and buried his face in his hands, mortified enough to want the clothes in the closet to swallow him whole.
“Yours are prettier.” Alhaitham murmured, his lips curling upward in a smile as he gently took Kaveh’s hands off of his face, rubbing small circles on them in soothing motions. “It’s been a long time since you actually let me look at them…” Alhaitham’s voice trailed off. Alhaitham never trailed off!
He seemed to be entranced by something in Kaveh’s eyes.
