Summary
A slow burn Ronance story set post Season 5, 4 years after everything.
Robin’s radio tower injury remains canon, leaving her with improperly healed hips, a permanent injury, medication, and a cane she tries not to let affect her life. After four years at Smith, she returns to Hawkins with a linguistics degree and settles down for a while to figure out her life.
Nancy left Emerson to pursue her career at the Washington Herald. In my Ronance One Shots, “The Day Radio Fell,” is also canon to this for Robin's hip injury + her cane. Nancy accepted Jonathan’s proposal, despite having something developing with Robin, and later regretted it. When Jonathan announced the engagement, Robin was heartbroken and confronted Nancy. Their argument ended with Robin feeling led on, and she stopped speaking to Nancy.
Nancy has since suffered recurring nightmares about losing Robin.
Four years later, Nancy returns to Hawkins for her and Jonathan’s third wedding anniversary and for a get away from the city life while also knowing the party of everyone else... and Robin has returned too. She’s anxious about seeing her again, if she does, hoping that, if they meet, things can at least be okay.
