Summary
Bonnie is on her first trip to Earth with her Host of Angels, hoping to find clarity on why so many humans are popping up dead. She quickly gets separated from her group, and ends up alone with a beautiful but unsettling woman.
By the time she figures out Emi is a vampire, her natural enemy and humanity's greatest threat, it's already too late. Bonnie gets stuck on Earth when the moon fades, and has to beg Emi for help if she wants any chance of survival.
Emi has spent her entire life cursing Heaven's name, along with the Angels that it sends down to Earth. She's worked hard to assimilate into human society, and spends her weekends out on the town for the next woman to feed from.
When she encounters Bonnie she doesn't expect to be stuck helping her survive on Earth for the next month, but can't stop herself from being drawn in all the same.
