   Summary

Miss Harriet Wolfson, daughter of railway magnate Nathaniel Wolfson, is one of the richest girls in America. When her father's business machinations bring them West with her fiancé Philip Cornwall and his family, she begins to question her life, her world, and if she can truly be happy in it. Drawn to a rough-neck oil man with a kind heart and a fondness for horses, a man who she suspects might be more than he is letting on, she begins to wonder if she can make a better life for herself. Even if it means she has to take it.

Begins in March of 1899, a couple of months before Blackwater, in an alternate universe where Strawberry is actually a bustling resort town with a fancy retreat that draws in wealthy easterners.
