Steve took an instinctive step to steady him but stopped dead in his tracks when he saw the storm in young Stark’s eyes—now brimming with tears of sheer rage and pain—as the man planted himself right in front of him.
"So, in case you were wondering... No, Cap. I don't have coordinates, or leads, or strategies, or options," the shorter man’s voice cracked, dropping to a dangerous whisper as he confronted the soldier. "I have nothing—not even trust in you, you damn liar."
"Tony..." the blond whispered, barely able to summon the courage to look up and meet his gaze.
"No, don't say a word... You know what the worst part is, Rogers?" the brown-haired man cut in, feeling a heavy tear slide slowly down his cheek. "My son is gone... Steve. Our son. Peter isn't here anymore... and none of this would have happened if you’d been with us. I lost my son because of your damn fault... and I will never forgive you for that."
