Summary
Conner wasn't trying to make problems. He would've been perfectly happy carrying on as he always did, living it up as Superboy, hanging out with his team, his friends, living the dream.
It was Clark who wanted him to make something of his civilian life. Clark was the one to insist he put himself out there more as Conner Kent.
So, really, all of this was Clark's fault. That's what he'd tell Batman, anyway, when he inevitably figured out the role Superboy had played in a a cute investigative YouTuber learning his secret identity.
