Severus’s Household:
Severus Snape: Adoptive father of both Harry and Draco. His children usually call him “Uncle Sev.” Draco occasionally calls him “Dad.” Severus is now Headmaster of Hogwarts, much to his chagrin . . .
Harry Potter: Adoptive son of Severus Snape. Adoptive brother of Draco Black. Harry also considers PJames, Maggie Lil, Emily Goyle, and Minerva McGonagall to be part of his family.
Draco Black: Adoptive son of Severus Snape. Adoptive brother of Harry Potter. Draco also considers PJames, Maggie Lil, Emily Goyle, and Minerva McGonagall to be part of his family. Both of his birth parents are deceased. (Narcissa was murdered by Lucius. After Narcissa’s death, Lucius abused Draco for years. He was later assassinated.) Near the end of Book I, Draco chose to take Narcissa’s surname, in place of Lucius’s.
PJames: A portrait. He originated as a charmed painting of young James Potter. Now, PJames has a life (and a name) of his own. He rooms with Harry and is the inventor of Whole Castle Quidditch.
Maggie Lil: A portrait. Originated as a charmed painting of young Lily Evans. She now has a life (and a name) of her own. Rooms with Harry on weekends. Spends weekdays working with Bill Weasley as a Professional Curse Breaker.
Sir Cadogan: A portrait. Friend of PJames. Also likes Whole Castle Quidditch. Rooms with Draco.
The Dragons: Portraits. Friends of Sir Cadogan & PJames. They room with Draco.
Mab: Draco’s pet Jersey Devil. A gift from Harry (and Emily Goyle). She has a horse’s head, leather wings, and tiny horns. She’s quite small, currently, but will grow to the size of a horse within a year. She frequently emits blood-curdling screams. She rooms with Draco. (Severus is not thrilled.)
Hedwig: Harry’s pet owl. Rooms with Harry.
Hogwarts Faculty & Staff:
Emily Goyle: Ally to Severus. Co-teaches Defense against the Dark Arts (DADA) at Hogwarts. Married to Jonathan Goyle. Mother of Greg Goyle. Sister to Mortimer and Lydia Zabini. Blaise Zabini’s aunt. Outside of class, Harry and Draco both call her “Aunt Emi.”
Felix Pérez: Former Ranger (worked with Charlie Weasley). Injured while removing Acromantula colony from Forbidden Forest. New Care of Magical Creatures (CoMC) teacher, since Kettleburn’s retirement.
Filius Flitwick: Charms Professor. Co-Head of the new Hogwarts Study Abroad Program. Creator of PJames and Maggie Lil.
Gilderoy Lockhart: Co-teaching DADA, with Emily Goyle. (At least for now . . . )
Horace Slughorn: Potions Professor & Slytherin Head of House. Draco’s academic advisor. Union Rep for the newly formed Hogwarts Teachers’ Union. Often acts as unofficial (and annoying) mentor to Severus.
Madame Hooch: Flying Instructor. Co-Head of new Quidditch Safety Commission.
Madame Pince: School Librarian. Co-founder of new Hogwarts Tutoring Center
Minerva McGonagall: Headmistress. Transfiguration Professor. Co-Head of the new Hogwarts Study Abroad Program. Harry’s academic advisor. Outside of class, Harry and Draco both call her “Aunt Minnie.”
Pomona Sprout: Herbology. MPAPA faculty liaison.
Poppy Pomfrey: Runs the Infirmary. Co-Head of new Quidditch Safety Commission Responsible for the new decree that School Bludgers should always be on “safety mode.”
Professor Babbling: Ancient Runes. Working with Emily Goyle to break DADA curse.
Professor Binns: History. Co-Founder of Hogwarts Past & Future Committee. (But no one knows what that committee even does.)
Professor Burbage: Muggle studies. MPAPA faculty liaison.
Professor Sinistra: Astronomy. (Has mysteriously managed to stay off both Severus and Slughorn’s radars and thus has avoided being assigned any new projects.)
Professor Trelawny: Divination. Co-Founder of Hogwarts Past & Future Committee. (Whatever that is.)
Professor Vector: Arithmancy. Co-founder of new Hogwarts Tutoring Center
Reubus Hagrid: Gamekeeper at Hogwarts. Recently got his wand back. (He was Cleared of All Charges.)
Sirius Black: Harry’s Godfather. Recently freed from Azkaban and acquitted on all charges. Rooming with Hagrid and working as a Gamekeeper. Member of Hogwarts Quidditch Safety Commission. Responsible for making Bludger Safety Mode much more . . . exciting. As a result of his time in Azkaban, he’s currently uncontrollably shifting between human and canine forms. He’s also become a Master of Wandless Mental Magic.
