Summary
Kara lands on Earth, thirteen and with a newborn pup to raise, alone aside from the tiny boy who marked her as his parent as soon as they awoke. She hears other aliens nearby and goes to investigate, but they're afraid of someone with them, and she has her unah to protect so is about to slip away.
And then the wind shifts, and her baby blanket flies up enough for her to see it, and she can't help but sob at the reminder of the aunt she'd lost years before Krypton even, and despite her muffling her cry, it's still loud enough to alert someone nearby.
