Chapter Text
chapter one- influence
how did he get here? - its the first day on campus, and somehow mike is now absolutely hammered at a college party.
god, how irresponsible.
he knew he was vulnerable,he would do anything if it ment getting into a circle of friends because he was well.. different.
they didnt know that, for now.
but this might of been a little too far, even by his standards.
his body was no longer in his control, originally he thought someone was fronting. which can absolutely not happen as a first impression, which made him noticeably tense up.
in reality, he was just being taken by the effects of alcohol, which really made him relax. the most relaxed he had felt in a long time.
mike was giggling and babbling nonsense, which made him feel a little helpless. but what could he do about it?
and now he was being dragged out of the bar, by people he assumed were his friends.
"no.. im fine.. just.. one. . more.. drink" he said gasping for air, swallowing mouthfuls of vomit between each word.
mike wasnt even the type to drink, this was probably the first time he touched alcohol since last year.
he ended up at this party because his new roommate (which he forgot the name of) took him in hopes of introducing mike to some new people
oh he met some new people alright, the kind that pressure him into drinking for some 'fun'
so there he was, downing drinks until his gag reflex gave up.
why did nobody stop him?
but anyway, hed rather not think about the past- instead mike wants to deal with the complete predicament hes in now.
he flinched when he saw light, surprised he didn't aspirate on his own vomit.
mike felt around for a blanket but he found nothing of the sort, instead he had been dumped at the side of another bed.
his attempted to lift his head up, a couple times actually. mikes head felt like his brain was being squeezed through a vice.
after quite a struggle,he lifted his head and glanced up at the bed to be met with the back of a brunette boys head.
"oh, uhh- hi im so sorry abo-" mike stammered, his voice strained and worn, unable to find his words.
"hi" the boy muttered, sounding slightly exasperated. his attention fixated on a book and refusing to acknowledge the awkward mess laying down beside him
"how do i uh, get back to my dor-
the boy cut him off
"this is your dorm, we have met"
the boy remarked, his voice completely monotone
"room 156?"
mike asked,slightly apprehensive
"yes mike- are you still drunk or something? its me,noah"
so that was his name
"sorry for being a nuisance. guess ill see you later."
mike quickly recollected himself from the floor, stumbling to his feet before scurrying to the adjacent door (his room) . when he stood, his vision blurred. objects melting and merging together, looking like tv static.
