Summary
Shane can’t believe what he’s being handed. He’s 18 years old, starting center for the Montreal Metro’s, and they’ve just suffered their first loss of the season—no thanks to him; 2-3 against Boston, an overtime loss on home-ice. It’s embarrassing enough, and now he’s standing in the team locker room, his hair still drippy from the shower, and his captain, Chris Larson, is holding out a but plug. At least he has the sensitivity to look a little apologetic about it.
“Yeah, so, like I said. Rozanov has requested you.”
