My name is Derek, i'm 10 years right now. I sorta don't have many friends so my vacations are being really boring, except for the fact that i can stay playing videogames anytime. Unless my mother forces me to go outside and make some new friends, i really hate when she does that...
It's not that i don't like having friends, but all the kids of my age considered me "weird" just because I'm different. Not like i care, they just don't know me well and they are doing assumptions of me. I have some friends but i can't follow their energy, so i prefer not hanging out that much with them.
I'm playing minecraft, i think i didn't mention it but minecraft is my favorite game! My skin is a really cool knight and my usertag is D3rlord3, my mom say it's weird. Well, everyone says that the things i like are weird... So whatever.
— Derek! Come here, please. — Huh, my mom is calling me. Minecraft gotta wait a lil bit.
I get out of my bed and walk to the living room, she surely gonna ask me to do something for her, booooring...
— Yes, mom? — I finally look up and i notice that we are not alone. There's a woman standing in front of my mom, behind that woman is a boy. So she doesn't have enough forcing me out but she gets the kids in the house so i socialize? Lame.
But not gonna lie, he's kinda cute. He gives me the vibe of a minecraft slime, haha if i compare him with that then it's kinda enterteining.
— Derek, i gotta talk about something with her. So... i need that you pass time with her kid, just this time, please. — Im about to give my mother a bad look but, just in that moment the woman start talking to me.
— Hey there, Derek... This is my son, Avery. — She gives him a little push so he gets in front. Avery looks like he doesn't want to be here either, or well, i don't know. — I heard from your mother that you like minecraft, my sweet boy also likes it. So why don't you play together?
I don't wanna talk to much, so i just nod. My mother gives me a look of approval. — So... Uhh... Avery, follow me... — Kinda akward, i don't know how to talk to him. So i just start heading back to my room, feeling the presence of avery behind following me.
Not gonna lie, when i first saw him i thought he didn't want to be with me or want to be here. But now, he looks really happy and cheerful. — So, you're derek right? — I nod, his voice kinda cute but kinda funny at the same time. — Cute name! I'm avery, but i think you alredy know that! Your house is really cool and everything.
... I get kinda flustered at the compliments, i stay quiet for a little bit. — Uh... Yeah, your name is cute too... ig... — He doesn't say anything more, just give me a little smile.
We finally get to my room, i let him pass with a little shyness. — You can sit wherever you like... — I DON'T KNOW WHY I AM NERVOUS.
— Thanks! — He aproachess my bed, sitting in the right side. — I'm going to play in my tablet by the way. — I nod and i walk to where is he, sitting in the left side and grabbing my controller.
I return to the menu, waiting for him to get in minecraft. — My usertag is there, add me. — He follows my order and starts adding me.
— Derrrr.... Lorddd.... — He spell it meanwhile writing in... Silly. — Cool name! And your skin is a knight? That so freaking cool!! — i murmur a little thanks, can he stop being way to kind for a moment?
— Okay, i'm making the world now. What are you better at? — He looks a little excited with this question, his loudness upgrade a little more.
— Im the most better at PVP! i love playing skywars. — I didn't thought he'll be the type of loving pvp, but that's really cool. Over all because i SUCK in pvp, this can be an adventage.
We get in the world. His usertag kinda weird, "Themostmayo" but meh is his choice. I don't know how i get it right, but his skin is a slime but with a black shirt that has a pattern of yellow flowers, and a short of a uhhhh color i forgot, but whatever.
After that, the time passes very fast with none of us noticing it. We divide the work, we fight for nonsense things, we talk so much telling each other of ours lifes (I also found out Avery is in my school) and we actually pass a great time together.
I only notice that the time pass when avery starts getting sleepy and the tablet starts falling out of his hands. Avery suddenly falls asleep, His head found place in my shoulder and his tablet falls on my bed. I panic and throw my controller behind me, just because i want to make sure he doesn't fall. I grab him by the shoulder and relieve him on me, i stay a little moment apreciatting him.
Just in that freaking moment, my mom gets in my room. Oh my god... Why now?! She stares at me smiling, WHY IS SHE TAKING A PHOTO OF US???!!!!! IM GONNA BE SO MAD IF SHE DOESN'T ELIMINATE THAT.
She heads out in silence, the moment just ruined by that but i don't let go avery. I wanna stay like this a moment.
Normally, when i have a conversation with a kid of my age, is just simply... awkward and short. But something is just different with avery, i feel pleasant and comfortable around him. There's something that i kinda feel for him that i don't know how to name, surely something kinda gay but okay. I don't understand how can someone make you think different in just a day, i guess avery is just more cooler than everyone else.
I let him fall in the bed, and i start to quit the things that are in the bed. When i finish i get up with him, i grab avery to push him further up, and i lie next to him. I wrap my arm around him, in an intent of a 'hug'.
I slowly start to fall asleep, and i kinda think now that isn't that bad having a bestfriend.
But then they grow up, play that one minecraft world, both turn left and king in yellow kills everyone, sorry guys, slimeknight over go home or something like that I'm not good with endings
