“One, two, three…” he poked at each toe as he counted them, smiling at how the two-week-old chimera tried to wiggle away.
“Do you count the paw pads as beans, too?” A voice asked from the other side of the room through a speaker.
“I don’t, no,” the man holding the baby chimera responded as he poked the dew claws on the baby’s front paws. “And that makes twenty~♡”“You can always visit, it isn’t an issue. I was just going to make a simple flatbread pizza or something.”
Phainon spun in his chair. “I will ABSOLUTELY be bringing you something then!”
“No buying weird toppings for the pizza. I refuse to put that weird shit in my cooking.”
Phainon pursed his lips. “I wasn’t going to get toppings, Dei, but I’ll be right over, okay?”
“Okay.”
Without ceremony, Phainon ended the call.
“Wait. Did he just– Did I just–” Mydei shook his head and looked at the clock, 5PM. “Dude, it takes you an hour and a half to drive here, why are you coming here for dinner?”Mydei is raising some orphaned chimera kits, and Phainon comes over to visit.
