It was yet another long night in Karakura town. One that seemed especially long that night to Kisuke. As he worked around the shop all day with a lingering thought in the back of his mind.
His partner waiting for him after the long hours. Walking past the shop doors as he closes up, and through the seemingly endless halls. Kisuke arrives at the bedroom doors that hold his own treasure.
He pushes past the sliding doors to reveal his partner, (Name) already in bed peacefully asleep. A pleased smile shows on kisuke’s face as he approaches the futon, careful not to awake (Name) from their sleep. He carefully lifts the covers in order to crawl into place behind his partner. Wrapping his arms around their soft figure and resting his chin on their shoulder, with his nose in placed in the nape of their neck.
Seconds pass before (Name) starts to stir with the new warmth beside them. Tilting their head in order to get a read on who’s next to them. Opening their eyes to see Kisuke already smiling while looking up at them. Before they can say anything, Kisuke wraps his arms around them tighter. “Go back to sleep” he whispers and eve so softly kisses (Name)’s lips. Right before nudging his chin back into (Name)’s neck pressing yet another soft kiss where his lips rest naturally.
Their head falls back onto the pillow as they drift back into sleep. Not before grabbing ahold of one of kisuke’s hands however. The two fall back into the quiet rhythm of silence, the occasional cricket, and the sounds of their breaths falling into one.
