Summary
Gen had no idea just how much Senku kept locked inside himself just to stay on course with his own dream. When Senku looked at the stars, there was never room for anyone else in his eyes. And yet this very man claimed he wanted him—not his body, but his heart. Gen faltered; he wasn't ready to hear that for real. He wasn't ready to bear the weight of becoming an obstacle on Senku's path. And still, he contradicted himself.
Their little electrical experiment had gone too far.

To understand him, Senku, without words, was both a divine fortune and a great punishment.
Because he, Gen, was also understood. Irreversibly.
Gen elegantly swings his leg over the scientist's thighs and, awkwardly bracing himself on the couch, climbs onto Senku's lap. The latter watched Gen from below with that same voracious curiosity, the heat of which made the mentalist's lower abdomen ache openly time and again. How he wished to be his numbers, his blueprints, his inventions, and how Gen envied them.
They don't move for several long seconds, fused together and breathing heavily, like stars before collapse
“You're softer than I imagined. I,” he swallows, stroking Gen's sides, “I thought you'd be denser, like a compressed and inert brown dwarf. But you're more like a protoplanetary disk in the HH-30 system,” he lifts his head with a note of admiration. “You're pliable and warm, with the potential to form an entire new world…”

Senku was dazzlingly beautiful in how utterly consumed he was by the flame of his own ideas and how unwavering he was in them. He cared for everyone, but kept everyone at a distance too. He knew he was destined to burn in that, so he tried not to burn anyone else, which was why he didn't love. Gen couldn't imagine how much he held inside himself to keep from straying from the course of his own dream. When Senku looked at the stars, there was no room in his eyes for anyone else.
