Chapter Text
There used to be a king, a king who swore he’d help both new and old players. A king who was hated even if he had tried as hard, he could to help this server. Now, the king ran down the hills, crashing into walls that interrupted his escape from the new king.
ParrotX2, how did it come to this end? How did your kingdom fall, the men betraying you after Saparata promised that they won’t be killed. It was lies after all, Saparata’s promises meant nothing, he was going to kill them either way. Parrot promises also meant nothing. He didn’t help the server; he made the server worse.
The fallen king didn’t know where he went wrong, he was helped feed others, he worked hard to make others’ lives better, he didn’t take all the kingdom’s resources for himself. Was he too selfless? Is that where he went wrong? People told him to be more selfish all the time anyways, Wifies told him to be more selfish.
Parrot turned his head backwards towards Saparata.
"I won. Run. Run as far as you can, Parrot. This is not your kingdom anymore. It's mine. And just know, after I kill each and EVERY new player, you're next." Parrot continued running, running into a house that could possibly have a player in it. A player who wants the fallen king gone.
Parrot went under the stairs, crouching to make him seem smaller.
Parrot was able to escape the kingdom, but some Cindercrest soldiers saw him but luckily Parrot somehow outran them. Now he was in a snow biome, the unforgiving cold snow stinging through Parrot’s layers of clothing, it felt like tiny needles were pricking him, millions of tiny needles. He kept walking through the freezing biome anyways, even if whenever he breathed, the cold stabbing his chest and freezing his lungs or when his limbs felt like they were going to fall off.
A familiar silhouette appeared in front of him, the recognisable bold wings, the confident posture, it was all too familiar to Parrot.
“T-Theo…? You’re alive?” Parrot blinked as he took a long sigh and tried reaching for Theo before his hand… phased through him?
“You failed us Parrot, you left us to die, why would you do that? Wasn’t your goal on this server to save everyone?” No, no, no, no, no, no, he refused to believe this. Theo isn’t dead. Theo wouldn’t die; he isn’t the type of person to die. The former king’s hands began shaking, sweat beginning to form on his hands, (it wasn’t even hot, why is he sweating?). He didn't fail them, right? He didn't sign them up to die right?
The silhouette of what seemed to be his best friend started to fade away, leaving the avian with only his thoughts and the disgustingly cold snow. Fuck snow, why am I even here anyways? Parrot slowly stood up from the snow where he was kneeling at, when was he kneeling? He kept walking, and walking, and walking until he reached a new biome and a decent place to rest and settle down.
Parrot needed to plan, quickly, he needed to make sure that his friends were somehow still alive out there. But what if they died? What if they died earlier ago and his communicator couldn’t pick it up because of how unstable and laggy this sever is? Stop it Parrot, stop thinking about these things, of course they are fine! The avian slumped against a tree, rain dropping against his hair, great, now it’s raining, just when he thought he could get fresh air it started raining.
It was somewhat peaceful he guessed, the sound of rain clattering against the ground and trees around him, it felt nice to have this peace even after everything that happened.
“P-Parrot!” The avian’s head snapped towards the voice; a black-haired girl stood in view and next to her was… Saparata.
“Reina! What are you doing h-” Another figure showed up, it was Theo.
“It wasn’t hard to find you, Parrot. Your feather kind of gave your location away,” Saparata smirked, feeling confident with himself. “Y’know, it’s all your fault that people are starving now. You were such a shitty king, I’m glad that you’re not king anymore.” The king held up a netherite sword up to their necks.
“W-wait what? No, no, no! Stop!” Parrot got back on his legs, the avian running towards his friends before a guard stopped him. “LET ME GO!” He struggled against the guard’s hands as he began to shed tears.
"Say bye to your friends, 'King' Parrot."
SWISH
The sound of a sword slicing broke through the struggle, it was the only thing Parrot could hear now. The guards let him go. He fell on his knees, just looking at the bodies of his last friends.
“Let’s go now,” the corner of Saparata’s mouth moved upwards at Parrot’s suffering.
“Wait, we’re not going to imprison him?” One of Saparata’s guard asked.
“No, he’s useless now, just a lost cause of a former king.”
Lost cause
Hah… what’s even the point of saving this server anyways? This server can’t be helped, he was to blinded by his morals.
This server is a lost cause
The sound of Saparata and his goons’ boots leaving is the only sound that could be heard aside from the quiet rustling of the trees mourning or laughing at the avian’s dead friends. The bodies of what used to be Theo and Reina was now lying on the floor, their necks were slitted open and scarlet blood gruesomely pools around the bodies.
Saparata was laughing as he walked away with Cindercrest, he won’t be laughing when I overthrow him.
Parrot continued building his base, the weight of his dead friends felt too much to handle, even if this has happened to every friend he’d met. Maybe it was because this time he doesn’t have anyone to go to. Maybe it was because everyone hates him now, hates the former king who help others before him.
He was too selfless, looking back at the times when he was king, he helped others to much and didn’t have time for himself. He was always selfless though, at the start of the server, he made a promise to himself that he will help others. Maybe Wifies was right, he needed to be more selfish. Well guess what? Parrot will, Parrot will show this server why they shouldn’t have took his help for granted.
Parrot splashed an invis potion on himself, how did he get one? Secrets that I can’t tell you or maybe just plot armour. He sneaked into Capitol City, laying low and making sure not to be seen. Capitol City sure had a revamp from the last time Wemmbu nuked it. Wait, where was his brothers anyways? Where was Wemmbu? Last time he saw him was when he was killing everyone, his brother seemed insane, he hoped that Wemmbu is taking care of himself now. Where was Flame? Where was Spoke? He still needed to apologise to him that he couldn’t have helped him, Parrot was already struggling with the war. His youngest brother was missing for 5 months, Parrot hoped that he isn’t dead. He couldn’t bear having more dead loved ones.
Oh right, what was he doing in Capitol City again…? Oh yeah, to get more resources, there aren’t that many tens of thousands of blocks away. It would really be hard to get some resources because first, why would they give things to a random invis player and second, Parrot is dirt broke. So this is why Parrot came up with a brilliant plan to rob them! I mean, he technically stole from others a lot during his little treasure hunts but usually. He donates them to other players in need. The only difference this time is that he’s taking it all for himself, look, he really needed some resources right now.
The avian heard a voice screaming about some amour they were selling. He quietly sneaked up to the house and looked at what they were selling and my GOD the armour was horrendous. The worst part is that they were selling it for such a high price that it was ridiculous. I’m so sorry… AveryTheMayo that I’m unfortunately going to steal your overpriced armour, he thought. Parrot sneaked inside the house, making sure that Avery didn’t see him and then quickly stole the armour. Unfortunately for Parrot, luck seemed to not be on his side, and he accidently dropped the helmet.
“Hey! What are you doing!” The green slime yelled at Parrot, hastily running over to the invisible avian. Shoot. Gotta make a run for it.
The avian quickly took the helmet that was abandoned on the floor and darted out of the armour store. “H-hey! Get back here you thief!” Avery unsheathes his diamond sword and chases after the invisible particles, “someone, help!”
Parrot swiftly ran from Avery, turning around corners that would make it harder to spot him. Luckily for Parrot, Avery lost him around the few corners or so and decided to give up and continue scamming- I mean selling armour to people. (The armour didn’t cost that much to make to begin with).
His bed had never felt so comfortable in his life before. Parrot continued to sink down on to the bed, letting the bed swallow him as he buries his face into the soft pillow, really, the bed and pillow is like rock solid but to Parrot, after an EXTREMELY long day, it feels heavenly.
Parrot didn't forget why he's doing all of this for yet.
He NEEDS to take revenge. Revenge for Saparata taking HIS kingdom and killing his last friends.
And it will all start...
tomorrow.
